We were welcomed with a pot of tea, warm cinnamon and apple scones and damson and plum jam; divine. The cottage was as beautiful as the pictures, spotless and tranquil. On arrival there were fresh eggs courtesy of the chickens, homemade bread and apple juice and milk in the fridge. The AGA kept the cottage warm, but not too warm,... More

I had been given a voucher as a gift for the full day Breadmaking workshop. What a fantastic day it was. Everything was supplied and the Bakehouse is set in the most beautiful surroundings. We were taught how to bake several different breads. All of which we took home to enjoy along with recipe sheets so we can make the... More

We stayed in the Brewhouse in early January 2014, as my husband, daughter and myself were ill over Christmas, so we thought we deserved a break! We couldn't have chosen a better place! At just over an hour away from home, it felt like we were a million miles away. We love cooking, but thought we'd treat ourselves to home... More

We stayed in the Milkhouse for three nights with our 3 year old and 11 month year old and had a very relaxing stay. As others have mentioned, the cooking facilities are limited at the Milkhouse - there is a hotplate which is fine to heat up kids' meals but you wouldn't want to cook a full meal there. Fortunately... More

I booked this for a long weekend as a birthday surprise for my partner. We stayed in the Milkhouse which was just perfect. Clean, tastefully decorated and the little touches of home made bread and fresh eggs and juice in the kitchenette were wonderful. We were also treated to home made scones and tea on arrival, which was a lovely... More

I'm a bit late in reviewing this as we stayed a year ago but we had such a lovely time I had been meaning to write this review ever since. The cottage is delightful but the real highlight was the delicious food that they can serve in your cottage, especially the bread. It is a perfect location for a peaceful... More

Stayed in the Milk house with our 10 month old baby for a short break recently. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and tasteful decor in the cottage which is situated in a terraced row. The gardens are lovely with fruit trees and friendly chickens and a useable clean outdoor pool. Nice touches on arrival including eggs from the... More

We stayed in the Brewhouse with our three year old and nine month old and had a wonderful long weekend. The roaming hens were an attraction (especially for our daughter who was thrilled at finding a freshly laid egg and eating it for her dinner), as were the swings and trampoline. It is a very rural setting but only a... More

I bought a gift voucher for Fathers Day for a bread making workshop for my husband, myself and our 10 yr old. It was the best family day out we have had in ages! Both Les and Louise are such lovely people and so passionate about what they do. We were welcomed with delicious home made cookies and coffee before... More
