A charming stay for 2 nights in the black and white room overlooking the lake, very historical Listed parsonage, in a beautiful village. Comfortable beds. Welcome and hospitality from Pamela and team high grade. Transport into A easy. Visits to nearby villages and ports good. 2 good restaurant recommendations. If you like a different experience, you will enjoy this.

At first we had concerns over the distance we were from Amsterdam city central, but then we met the owners of this amazing hotel!!!! Pamelas food is divine, the staff all so friendly, Basil the dog too is so lovely. Pamela was so helpful with help travelling into the city or to other little towns, using the local bus instead of... We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Inn on the Lake, our hosts Pamela and Karel are lovely, and their dog Basil is adorable. We were there for my birthday and Pamela cooked me and my husband a delicious meal she is an excellent cook. We would definitely stay here again, and it is within very easy reach to go... More

The Dutch people have a way of making their home cozy. Broek in Waterland is a village where the all the coziness seems to focus and on top, you will find the ‘Inn on the lake’. If you feel that the charm of this guesthouse already invites you with open arms, the big smile of Pamela, the hostess, will surely... More

We stayed here just a few days ago, the location of the inn was fabulous. We loved sitting by the lake at nights watching the reflection of the lights on the water & it was quiet & peaceful with beautiful houses all around. 10 minutes from the centre, your hosts provide you with bus cards to get in & out..much... We felt that this was a true find. The location is stunning, the inn gorgeous, rooms light and airy and the proprietors helpful without being too present. Karl gave us a fantastic canal tour which was a wonderful introduction to the area and Pamela cooked a really wonderful beautiful meal for us the first night. Having told her that I... More

Beautiful, quiet location, in the centre of the village, on the lake and convenient for Amsterdam. Immaculate accommodation, expertly and imaginatively decorated, with no expense spared. Our host is an excellent chef; we sat in the conservatory overlooking the lake while she prepared a delicious meal. Breakfast was equally good - fresh pancakes with blueberries, raspberries and creme fraiche. A... More

Stayed 5 nights in early June 2015. We were picked up from the airport by Karel, which is a service we recommend. Loved the Black and White room that overlooks the lake. Broek is a pretty town. Quiet and picturesque. Make sure you explore on foot. There are also two nice restaurants. Be sure to opt for one of Pamela's... More

I enjoyed my stay very much, the village is lovely, the house as well. The room was beautiful and very well equipped. Breakfast was delicious ...i mean I really liked being outside Amsterdam but so close at the same time. However, much to my surprise, the owners were not on site when we arrived, despite the fact the owner Pamela... More

We stayed at the Inn for three nights at the end of May. We stayed in the blue room which has an excellent enclosed bedstead that my two daughters aged 8 and 11 loved. The Inn is in a beautiful village called Broek in Waterland and you can sit in the garden by the lake and take in the sights... More
