Visited after walking the Ford Moss trail. Very laid back but attentive service. Had Ham egg and chips and a Burger and chips. Nice thick slices of ham, well cooked egg with runny yolk, chips were crisp and golden. Burger was nice served with a generous salad. Kids just had carrot cake (nice and moist) and a cookie. Tea in... More

After singing the praises of the village of Ford and the fantastic crab sandwich that I had at the Estate House we jumped at the change to take my parents there for a look around on our way to Bamburgh Castle. The village still has its picture postcard feel and is a credit to the residents, but better still the... More

The Estate House is a great place to stay in a very quiet and quaint village. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and accomodating and could not do enough for us. Rooms are large and comfortable as was the bed. Breakfast was well cooked and filling and we were able to have a great value evening meal having given the hosts... More

This was our second visit, and will not be our last - Debs, Bill and Sam are lovely hosts and very welcoming. It's a bit like being a house guest at a big house in the Edwardian period, with all mod cons. The rooms are large and the view over the countryside is glorious. There's a very big garden and... Charming, old-fashioned perhaps, but definitely should be on your list when visiting Northumberland. You will have been allowed to enter another world. Hear the sound of peace and enjoy this special corner of the world.

Visiting Berwick area for a family wedding and needed somewhere to stay for the friday night before the wedding. Having travelled for 5 hours on the train Sam's happy smiling face met us at the train station. Immediately I felt my family and I were going to be well looked after. Once arriving we were met by a lovely warm... More

We came down from Arbroath while visiting Scotland and thoroughly enjoyed the drive along beautiful countryside. Bill and Debs gave us a nice welcome. We stayed in the Joicey Room and it was very comfortable. Space heater in cupboard was a welcome addition on a chilly morning. Breakfast was delicious and Bill was very knowledgable when asked for local places... More

We stayed Easter weekend in order to attend a family wedding. We wanted to stay in the B&B rather than go to the wedding!! Everything is comfortable, cosy, friendly and the staff are amazing. The room was fantastic - I slept better in there for 2 nights than I normally do at home. Nothing is too much trouble for the... More

Stopped by for lunch today, it was unbelievable - well done ! Service was great and food delicious. Good food and good price. Brilliant - well worth a visit (only little drawback was the view outside was a bit messy)?

Hi Thanks for the review and the great comments - we accept that the rear court yard was a little untidy we had just moved the Garden Tractor after it's long winter storage and had not had time to clear up the leaves etc- all done now with new planters do come again and see for yourself. More
