Perhaps the worst hotel I've ever stayed out. I really don't know where to start. First, the whole place looks and feels like going to your grandparents' house (if your grandfather is not handy), and seeing 100 things that need to be fixed or replaced. It's truly overwhelming. First, our bathroom light didn't work. Think about what that for a... more

People came here the same night that we did, and their reason was to PARTY!!! People were going in and out of the rooms and all hours and this included the employee only room. One guest came out of it drunk!!! Amazingly enough, the room was locked in the morning. My guess? The staff lets friends in and out. more

I stayed at this motel during Memorial Day weekend 2009. I chose it due to the low rates and the appealing uniqueness of its ethnic niche as portrayed on the motel web site. It is located in an easy-to-find location, on a main through street. The neighborhood is an OK shopping district, with a drugstore next door and a decent... more

This was your average motel. From their website they look like a nice and friendly place. the guest room we stayed in had several stains on the carpet. On the upside- our room was above the lobby- so we were able to get free access to the internet. On the downside, The hall was quite nosy til after 1 am. more

Room was ok, on par with Motel 6. Lobby and exterior appearance could use some updating/TLC. Free breakfast was very skimpy - better off walking to McDonald's a few hundred feet away. We have spent more for far less. more

The Hotel is a den of drugs and prostitution and maintains an abhorrent level of service and cleanliness. I have attached web links to reviews by other visitors with experiences similar to ours. We were in a group of 26 parents and children attending a college reunion. All members of our group experienced the conditions that follow. * Linens were... more

Our extended family had to travel to Rockford for a funeral. The funeral director went to the Sweden House and was shown rooms that the group would be given. We had reserved two nights but due to the condition of the rooms and the hotel overall we checked out after one night. We had been told we were in the... more

i have stayed here twice in the past couple of months. No, this isn't the taj mahal, but we weren't charged that much either. people were friendly and helpful, especially Mike. Stay here again? sure, unless you want to pay $100 a night. Our room was in the $50,'s. more

Weeds growing up from every crack. Trash in the driveways and parking lots. Nobody every cleans these areas. Towels are dingy...try bleach. Only one friendly girl in the place, wish I could remember her name. All of the other staff were RUDE. They have filled in the pool. It use to be 10 feet deep but now only 5 feet.... more

We stayed there for a wrestling tournament State Series. As soon as we walked in, it smelled like wet socks...I figured I could get past that. The front desk girl was not very friendly and when I asked to get extra blankets, etc she sighed to herself like it was an inconvenience to her. The entire second floor was being... more
