This hotel is the worst place I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. The walls were moldy in the breakfast bar!!!! The pool come to find out has not been running in months!!! AWFUL. Air conditioning was not turned on so it was extremely hot when got to room. Took four hours to cool down to bearable. Phones not working properly. We knew that the Holiday Inn Express in Rochelle is now the US Express, although it still had the Holiday Inn Express sign out front. I stayed at this location on New Years Eve 2004. It’s a newer hotel with a very friendly, accommodating staff. It's very close to route 39 and offers easy access on and off the highway. The rooms are clean, average size, and the décor is nice. The room had a coffee maker, chair and ottoman and a small work desk.... more
