This is a beautiful hotel with excellent customer service. Great breakfast, clean room, and a pool, what more could you want? We visit Carlinville at least once a year and typically stay in Springfield which is so much farther away. Will definitely be staying again

I was in town for business for a few days and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was very accommodating and the room was excellent. I am a handicapped person and the room that I was provided had all the necessities I needed. There was even a shower chair that I could use. That was a plus!! The onsite... More

You will note if you read my reviews that most are very positive. Every once & awhile you come across a clunker & unfortunately my wife found one. She was driving up to Dubuque, Iowa & this was a good mid point overnight stop for her. The reservation was made & when she arrived she asked for a ground floor... More

As I've mentioned before. Walking into this place makes you feel like you've walked into a time machine. Aside from the (small) flat screen TV, its 1974 in here. Decent restaurant in the hotel, especially considering there is not much around here. Room was clean, but worn. Bed was adequate. I do like the shower gel dispenser in the shower.... More

Stopped as part of Trip so only one night stay, room clean although opposite pool so noisy. Bar shut early as quiet, we didn't avarice until 8 so but time we went to bar he was closing. Breakfast very limited defiantly not what you would expect from4/5 star. This hotel while pleasant in my opinion is more in tune with... More

Did not think it was necessary to ask if elevators were available. Reservation clerk stated 'since handicapped rooms were available on first floor federal regulations did not require elevators'. When I commented that many people were still inconvenienced by stairs because of walking problems or difficulty lifting luggage she just repeated the above statement. Must be difficult for housekeeping staff.... More

I'm sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. We do try to put people that cannot climb stairs on the first floor but unfortunately this is not always possible. More

The hotel room was clean and staff was friendly. However, when I spoke with friends that were staying there and having dinner, the wait staff coming to the table and food service was extraordinarily slow. They indicated a 90 minute wait from the time their order was taken to the time the food was brought out. My friends and I... More

We are fairly difficult to please when it comes to hotel accommodations, so I was a little reluctant to stay at this hotel because it is located in such a small town. We reserved through Orbitz and got a great price, which convinced us to give it a try. We were very pleasantly surprised! The room is fairly basic, but... More

We had the best stay. Great valve for our dollar. Checked in at 8:55 and the restraunt closed at 9:00. They asked the kitchen to wait a couple minutes for us and they did and were so nice about it. The rooms were super nice and the breakfast was awesome. Great staff.
