If you prefer to avoid busy resorts and crowded beaches, you will love this small bed and breakfast in rural St. Lucia. I especially loved the constant sound of the river running in back of the property and my daily dips in its refreshing water. I also enjoyed walking up the road through the banana plantation looking for birds. Melvin... More

Thank you so much for your lovely Review. It was a pleasure to have you and I hope we will stay in touch. I always appreciate when people enjoy the natural surroundings and take advantage of the river, the birds and walking along the road in the area. Also, I appreciate how easily you were able to adjust from moving... More

I just returned from vacationing in paradise. Lorraine has been a very gracious host. She cares about her guests. She was engaging and available to offer advice and/or provide information and suggestions. Lorraine has a wealth of knowledge regarding the island. She even made time to take me & others guests to the grocery store and provide rides locally. I... More

We stayed at A Peace of Paradise for 4 nights in late August. We had to get used to the heat and humidity, and there were a few mosquitoes around, but the experience more than made up for it! First thing's first, Lorraine is such an amazing host. She organised a taxi from the airport for us, drove us to... More

We chose to stay here based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Accommodations are clean and comfortable (loved the sheets), great coffee and breakfast with delicious homemade jams, and a wonderful host who treated us like family. The location feels like a Caribbean cottage. We hiked up to the rain forest and then to a stunning waterfall with Melvin.... More

If you want a luxury resort, there are plenty of these on St. Lucia and Peace of Paradise is probably not for you. If, like us, you enjoy learning about where you have travelled and meeting both locals and other travelers in a beautiful setting, Peace of Paradise is hard to beat. The rooms are small, but the beds are... More

If you want to really experience St. Lucia not just visit and say you've been there. This is the place to do it. Loraine, the proprietor and hostess, is the sweetest, most accommodating woman, I've ever met. She is an expat from the USA and has lived in St. Lucia for 20 years and knows, everyone on the island. She... More

It is very rare that you see universally positive reviews about a place but having seen other people waxing lyrical at the calming properties of 'A Peace of Paradise' we felt compelled to try it for ourselves. We are so glad that we did. Admittedly the setting is not for everyone but those looking for 5 star luxury and the... More

Prior to joining friends in Soufriere we wanted a taste of real St Lucia, and where better to provide it than A Peace of Paradise. Whilst on first glance this guest house was smaller and more rustic than I was expecting, the service and glorious beauty of the surrounding rainforest more than made up for that. Lorraine is an exceptional... More

We booked a villa in Cap Estate for the majority of our stay in St. Lucia, but for our first night I was looking for something a little different and wanted to experience the rainforest more. Peace of Paradise was exactly what I needed. It is surrounded by rainforest, has a river with a pool deep enough to swim in... More

I stayed 8 days at Peace of Paradise this year. It is really a place where you can unstress, if you are. I stayed by my self and Lorraine really did make me feel at home and tried to help when necessary. I was her first guest with a mountainbike and this is a good place to start for different... More
