We checked on after a long day of travel. As we were checking in, there was a man pounding on the door next door to our room, shouting to be let in the room, this continued for at least 5 minutes. Stay away! This hotel sets a terrible example for the Red Roof Inn chain, which we've generally found to be a positive experience. If we didn't have another member of our family staying a few doors down, I would have packed up and looked for another hotel nearby. The location is right off I-74 in Peoria, which is convenient, but... more

I rated our experience "average" because it is what I expected from a RRI. If compared to the hotels we normally stay (i.e. Marriott properties such as Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Courtyard, and Springhill Suites), then RRI is definitely below average. On this trip, we had two cats with us so we had to find a place that allowed pets.... more

The Red Roof Inn experience is always hit or miss. There are some real jewels in this chain, but then there's ones like the Peoria property- small, dingy, depressing...makes you glad the place is lit by only a lamp or two, otherwise you'd see all the filth you are about to spend the night with. Recently (01/13/0) I reserved a room at the RRI/Greensboro Airport. Upon arrival and unlocking my room I was floored by the disgusting filth.
