Seriously -- it was the nice hospitality touches and lack of nickel-and-diming that contributed to making mine a pleasant stay. The rooms are fine, if on the small side (I didn't notice the thin walls other guests complained about). The staff is great, pleasant and falling all over themselves to help guests out, overboard apologetic for any problems ("no, really,... More

I came into town for a graduation party and needed a place to stay overnight. The view of the bridge at night is beautiful and convenient to the Riverwalk, which was great to take a morning run. The front desk was cordial and if I didn't have plans I would have taken advantage of the free drink tickets and the... More

We've stayed at this hotel previously and been pleased. I'm starting out with a disappointment, but hang in there. We didn't realize in previous visits that we would hear the train blow its horn several times throughout the night. The walls and windows seem to be thin here. We were disappointed to be disturbed by other guests in their rooms... More

Rstary, Thank you for taking time to share your experiences. I am sorry to hear that you were disturbed in the night. Sometimes on otherwise quite nights sounds due travel whether trains running along the riverfront or fellow guests in the halls. However I am pleased to hear that overall you found your stay comfortable and were able to enjoy... More

My wife and i were looking a nice hotel on the riverfront for our stay before we flew out for Vegas. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for and would stay here again for sure. The staff was very friendly and breakfast in the morning was very good

We were in town for Rodney Carrington and chose this hotel for the location. Our room was very nice with a vanity area for hair and makeup! Price was a little expensive but there were 2 concerts in town so its expected! Breakfast was absolutely delicious!!

Convenient location and friendly, helpful staff. The shuttle service is good IF the shuttle is available. There is only one shuttle for the entire hotel (or that was the case in February), which was not very convenient. Rooms are fine, but the walls are thin and the climate is difficult to control (stabilize). Bathrooms are small, and I was expecting... More

I have stayed here twice and really like it. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is really great and it has a very peaceful, reassuring air. Breakfast is good. They have a shuttle that will take you all over town and you can get passes to the huge and beautiful recreational center. Quiet and clean.

Stayed at the Mark Twain because of other reviews on here. It's - OK. It's nice. The walls are paper thin. Room below me or next door had the TV on and I could hear every word of the show they were watching. I prefer bathtubs over showers so the "rainfall" shower didn't score any points with me. Maybe TripAdvisor... More

We have had a hard time finding a consistently nice hotel in Peoria but we finally found it at the "Mark Twain". The hotel is quiet. The rooms are big enough. The parking is free. And the breakfast includes made-to-order omelets so it's not your typical "charb" overload free hotel breakfast.

We reserved 12 rooms for a music conference. Smoothest check in we've experienced in 30 years. Excellent breakfast included. Omelette chef was top notch. The rooms were comfortable but a bit drafty. Heat in rooms was adequate. We would definitely stay here again.
