This was a very pleasant place to stay. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Every person from the management to the cleaning staff was pleasant and tried to please. WE had a large group staying for a softball tournament and they made sure everything was taken care of. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. more

The Holiday Inn Express in Pekin is a near-nothing hotel with cheap furnishing and poor service, not to mention the lack of cleanliness. The few cafes in Pekin are sorley lacking decent food, with only Appleby's serving fair food at a fair price. Service was apathetic, at best. Breakfast was awful! Cheap white bread, rotten brown bananas, watery orange colored water for juice and stale pre sweetened cereal among other extremely unappetizing offerings. Containers were broken, taped and stained. No air conditioning in work-out room but was told that it was on the list to be fixed for weeks! more
