My husband and I had a horrible experience at this lodge. When we first got there the personal touch we were expecting which attracted us to the lodge wasn't there. We were given our keys to the lodge on which when we first opened the door we were greeted by a stinky toilet which smelt like it hadn't been cleaned.... More

The cottages at Bay View Lodge are spacious, clean and air-conditioned, with comfortable beds and mosquitoe nets. Accessibility to the beach is excellent for families with all their beach paraphernalia and for fisherman who need to launch their boats. The family who run the lodge, especially John and Sharon are extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a stay!

We are a young couple that stayed at Bayview Lodge during the Dec 2013/Jan 2014 period. Accomodation although slighly outdated in styling, was spacious, comfortable and our home away from home for the week we spent in Moz. We especially appreciated our cleaning services who made sure our place was in top notch (no beach sand :) or dishes )... More

A large group of us (adults and children) stayed at Bayview Lodge (in the 'Dive House') during December 2013/January 2014 and found the accommodation to be excellent! The house was exactly what we needed, especially with aircon, which you don't ordinarily find in Moz and very close to the beach where we could launch our boat and jetski. Management at... More

Although we have been to Mozambique before, the accommodation at Bay View is a few notches up from our previous trips. Very comfortable (mozzie nets and aircon!), spacious living areas and right on the most fantastic beaches! The daily cleaning service afforded us more time to spend doing nothing. Chalets are well equipped to make self catering a pleasure. although... More

What a wonderful resort. Eight days of bliss. Great chalet, great staff, great situation and excellent management. If a beach holiday is what one wants you couldn't find better. Really everything one could want and more. We will certainly be back for more of this perfection!

Bayview Lodge was the perfect accommodation for our fist holiday to Mozambique. Located in the Barra area, Bayview provided easy access to the beach, to water activities and to some lovely reasonably priced restaurants. Barra Reef Divers and Walk on Water (WOW) provided numerous water activities and they were located a few minutes walk from Bayview along the beach at... More

Our daughter was married nearby in Inhambane Province, and the bride and groom's families spent the week following the wedding at Bay View Lodge. The bride and groom had visited once before so they knew the property. What a terrific spot! The location is excellent. It takes a bit of driving to get there, but it is worth every km.... More

Bayview Lodge is the perfect place to stay in Barra. Much quieter and more relaxed than some of the nearby lodges with a great attention to detail. In the mornings the security guards bring the fishermen and villagers to your lodge selling fresh crayfish, prawns, calamari, bread and vegetables. Dianne and John are fantastic hosts (loaned us beach towels, recommended... More

Bay View was a great place to stay in Barra. Catharina was very helpful with the booking, getting visas, and any other questions I had. The only thing was the terrible palm flies that attack at night but they were kind enough to give me some ointment for the bites. The air con was a little loud but worked nicely... More
