Stayed here for two nights in early June of 2014. We had 3 rooms. All the rooms were on the second floor and shared a bath down the hall. For the price, this is place a good deal. The house is lovely with a large porch with plenty of shade and seating. You can sit out there and eat breakfast... More

What an amazing place!! Gloria is a fantastic lady, a kindred spirit. She was absolutely wonderful, cannot wait to stay there again. Her place is beautiful and historic, in a beautiful part of Oak Park. Close to everything you need, and breakfast was fantastic. 12 out of 10 :)

I have family in Oak Park and visit regularly. I have stayed at a series of places, hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts, including three times at Under the Gingko Tree. I am returning this summer and have decided to stay there again. It is a lovely old mansion in a wonderful neighborhood, surrounded by beautiful gardens and lovely Victorian... More

If you're traveling to Oak Park, it's likely you're going there to see the many examples of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture. If so, you won't find a better location than Under the Ginkgo Tree. It's about two blocks from his former studio and residence and within an easy walk of a whole slew of Wright houses as well as the... More

You never know what you will get booking a place to stay online. But again, we were very happy by choosing Under the ginkgo...Everything was just great. From cosy and clean room to Gloria's hospitality. The B&B is in the heart of Frank L.Wright houses, and the whole neighborhood is also full of great homes. Just have to walk a bit to... More

Stayed for a very hot week but air-con in the house worked very well. Loved the place and the people. Did not have en-suite but could always find a bathroom when we needed one. The porch is a great place to sit and people-watch. Oak Park is a good base from which to reach downtown Chicago as the E train... More

Beautiful home, fabulous hospitality. My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay and were sad to return home after our two-day stay. From the continental breakfast taken on the front porch to the restful sleep in a comfy bed, I've found my new home away from home while visiting Oak Park. The B&B is in the heart of the Frank... Great house, very comfortable. Gloria was great and very, very helpful. Breakfast was perfect and we enjoyed eating on the large, cute front poarch. We never had a problem when we needed a bathroom and were in and out on our time. We very much enjoyed the other folks that stayed in the Inn when we were there, not too... More

We first stayed with the wonderful Gloria 15 years ago and this is our fourth visit. It always feels like coming home. We stayed in room one, a 1st for us and what a lovely peaceful room, with great walk in shower. Healthy breakfast, plenty of variety and the chance to chat to other guests sat outside on the veranda.... More

Loved it!!! the couple that owns the place are fantastic, very helpful sweet and nice ( they even gave me a ride to the airport since I couldn't find a cab on time). The place is impeccable, the breakfast delicious! only down point is that it is a bit far from downtown, so I would recommend to rent a car.
