We were attending a wedding and chose the Struan Bank to stay as it was the perfect location for both the wedding and the reception. We were made to feel very welcome by Douglas and May and they organised a taxi for us to ensure we got to the venue on time. Our stay was extremely peaceful and ther was... More

Having stayed with Douglas and May before (see earlier review), I had no hesitation in booking into stay with them again during another visit to Scotland. And I was not disappointed! Again their hospitality was superb. My room was great – more than ample in size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fabulous – too much for me, so I had... More

My wife and myself were visiting family in area, and were recommended here. We found the owners Douglas and May very welcoming and helpful, they gave us clear directions to the various places of interest in the area. The rates were very reasonable and the food very well cooked. If in the area again we would not hesitate to stay... More

I've stayed here twice now and Douglas & May are the most friendly & welcoming hosts you could wish to meet. The rooms are clean and well kept. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Yoghurt, fruit, cereal, fruit juice to start, tea or fresh coffee followed by a full cooked breakfast. All included in the price. There's a TV, and tea coffee making... More

When you book unseen from the the otherside of the world (in my case, Australia) you are never sure what you will find. In this case, it was a little gem. Douglas and May made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in the door - (helped greatly by the beer he had on tap for the thirsty... More

We spent two nights at this hotel and there is just nothing to find fault with. Douglas and May were more like friends than hosts and bent over backwards for our comfort. Bit difficult for disabled. Food and cleanliness excellent. I was really happy with my room spacious and airy. Good value for money too.

Great reception when we arrived and Douglas was very friendly and infomative. We even spent some time in the lounge having a drink and a chat with him. The Struan Bank is located just at the end of the main high street and is a 5 minutes walk to station and Cowdenbeath FC. Also 2 minutes in the oppostie direction... More

First of all the Struan Bank Hotel is in Cowdenbeath not Dunfirmline. Both cities are in Fife and are not far away. Douglas and May made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in the door. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to downtown and the train station. The room was clean and airy and... More
