My wife and I visited Nauvoo for the very first time and stayed in this lovely home. We stayed in the Reimbold room. We loved the old bar wood and exposed brick on the walls. This is a beautiful place, very clean and quiet. We were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary, this was a very romantic place to do it.... More

We stayed from Aug 9-12,2015, and loved every minute of it. I loved the attention to detail and such clean and inviting place to stay. I have no complaints! The Nauvoo room was so lovely and the innkeepers are so dedicated making the guests happy. We were told such inspiring stories of Nauvoo and loved taking in all the history... More

We stayed in the Reimbold room for a single night. Room is partly under eaves of the attic so taller guests might find it a headache but the low ceiling doesn't extend all the way into the sleeping area. The air conditioning was a bit on the cool side. Not much room to get out of the bed on the... More

WORLD'S WORST CUP OF COFFEE The vast majority of our guests are here to soak of the history of the house and the town. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional educational experience by dispensing interesting historical details that you would never learn about Nauvoo anyplace else. But we will admit up front that we may serve the world's worst... More

We stayed in the Smith Room which was quiet, clean and comfortable. We did have some trouble with the wifi, but otherwise we enjoyed staying in the historic home and Jeannette treated us very well. We borrowed the bikes for a fun ride around the historic sites and the pageants are right across the street!

The innkeepers are a nice couple who are happy to engage in conversation about the area and history and Mormonism. We also happened to meet the owner, who is an American living with his large family in France. This is not a B&B, so do not expect a gourmet meal in the morning. Some of the reviewers seem to have... We felt fortunate--even blessed--to have an opportunity to stay in the Nauvoo Room of the Willard Richards Inn. The Inn is well located, across the street from the pageant grounds, and easy walking distance to many of the historic sites. Bicycles are provided to guests free of charge. We found riding around Nauvoo to be an absolute joy--really a lot... More

We loved staying here in the historic Willard Richards home. Tom and Janet Simpson were wonderful hosts. We are in the center of all the historic homes and the pageant is across the street. We were close to the Temple for our family weddings and Tom did the photography. The Inn provided a room for a fireside we had with... More

We loved our stay. The home was clean and welcoming. The owner has done a wonderful job restoring and taking care of the home. The inn keepers were so nice and helpful. They are knowledgeable about the area and the history if the home. What a pleasure to meet them all. We have already started recommending this place to all... More

This incredibly rich and historic inn quickly became one of our favorite vacation destinations; its history, decor, architecture, quality, amenities, etc. are fantastic. The caretakers are amazingly friendly, informative and helpful. Tom Simpson (a professional photographer) and his wife, Jeanette, were both wonderfully accommodating hosts; Tom gave a fascinating tour of the Inn (including the wine cellar constructed of Temple... Staying at the Willard Richards Inn in Nauvoo was the best part of our vacation. The room was clean, comfortable, with the best mattress ever. Not only was the facility wonderful, the owner and staff made us feel like part of the family. The historical education offered by the caretakers was absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back!
