Very friendly owners. We stayed in the Reinbold (it was called I think). It had so much style, we just loved it. Room was absolutely clean. It has all you need there. There's so many sites, even the Inn itself is a Site - the owners are happy to give you a tour of it. price-performance ratio is absolutely fine.... More

The bedroom we had in this bed and breakfast was delightful - comfortable, clean beds in a spacious room. The owners are kind, intelligent and friendly family people. I wish we could have stayed there longer.

Don't let the lack of online reservation hold you back. They called us back the same day I left a message. I was a little worried it might be a dated place because sometimes not having the online stuff means that the place is also not updated, but this isn't the case. We had a great time here. It felt... What a wonderful place to stay. It was easy to get around Nauvoo from here and the family did an awesome job of answering questions about the area as well as a neat tour of the home. We stayed with 4 kids under the age of 7 and they did not have any problems. The rooms are very historic. The... More

Our family stayed at this lovely inn and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Its location is perfect for visiting Old Nauvoo! The themed rooms were clean, comfortable, and the decorated beautifully. My family rented several rooms, and the couple running the place were so friendly, and helpful. Their knowledge of the area, as well as their welcoming style were... More

Stayed two nights in two different rooms on a whistle stop in old Nauvoo. The husband/wife team did everything they could to accommodate our family of 6 (4 kids). The decore of the home and our rooms really brought the historic experience to the forefront and the husband gave a great tour of the Inn and it's history. The icing... More

The location was excellent, especially during pageant time (right across the street). I loved all the history and it was decorated beautifully. It made you feel like you were in the "Old Nauvoo" era. The beds were was very comfortable and bathrooms were very nice. We had our own bathroom but it was down the hall. Next time I would... More

We just spent 4 days in Nauvoo with 6 of our grandchildren. Staying at the Willard Richards Inn added tremendously to our incredible experience in Nauvoo. This beautiful little Inn is filled with powerful history, it's location is perfect, and the biking around Nauvoo on the Inn's bikes were a real highlight of the trip. The hosts were friendly and... We loved staying at the Willard Richards Inn. It had such a homey feeling to it. We loved the fact that it was right in Old Nauvoo and so convenient. We got free bike rentals so we took them all over the city one day. That was fun. It was very clean and beautiful. We loved the living room area... More

Between the history in the house, the proximity of it to all the church sites and the complimentary bike rentals, this place cannot be beat! It truly made all the difference in our stay in Nauvoo. The owners took time for us to guide a free tour as well. They are helpful since they know all the ins and outs... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Across the street from the Nauvoo Pageant stage, the Willard Richards Inn is the only accommodation located in the Historic District of Old Nauvoo. It is the actual property of the Apostle Willard Richards and full of history and stories from when the Richards lived here to after the Saints went west to settle Salt Lake City. A big part of the tour of the house is the wine cellar that was built in the 1860's out of the scavenged stones of the original Nauvoo Temple. This historic home is surrounded by the masterfully restored homes of Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, John Taylor and Wilford Woodruff just to name a few. Instead of simply visiting the historic sites, why not stay in one? The Willard Richards Inn boasts beautiful views of the Nauvoo Temple and is only steps away from the Nauvoo Pageant stage. Guests of the Willard Richards Inn also receive a complementary bicycle rental to make seeing Nauvoo as fun as possible. If you are looking to make your trip to Nauvoo an experience to remember, there is no better location in town to experience the history and spirit of Nauvoo. ... more   less
