This Hampton Inn has been remodeled and is great. My boys loved the cookies that were waiting for them at the front desk when we checked in. We use this hotel as a stop on the way to a Florida winter vacation, usually in February. Find the property as first class, nice amenities, good room, fine beds and bedding, very clean,, good free breakfast..and free cocktail 2 hours M-Th each week. There is much hotel/motel competition in Mount Vernon, and the Hampton excels. Quiet, clean, neat, great Internet service (wired), hot breakfast, the luxurious and comfortable Hampton bed, many channels on the TV. Convenient to the freeway and many restaurants nearby. Nice spot in south/central Illinois. This Hampton is everything you could ask for. more

I thought this hotel was very nice. The room was well decorated, the whole property was very clean, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in excellent condition and is located in a quiet, wooded area although still close and convenient to the interstate. This is one of the best Hampton Inns I have stayed at.... more

The hotel was descent. Kind of dingy looking but luckily we only had to stay one night. We had two kids with us who wanted to use the pool but they were cleaning the lamp shades in the pool.....that's right, they had the pool completely filled with lamp shades.
