Spent 3 days at the Hampton Inn Mattoon , Ill. If all Hampton Inns are this well mantained I will always book my stays there. The rooms were immaulate as well as the staff . Recently updated. New beds are wonderful with duvets, down pillows. Nice breakfast with pastry, sausage and biscuits or gravy as well as cinnamon raisin biscuits. Also usual cereal...and the coffee is excellent. more

Non-smoking hall stunk of smoke the night we checked in. We called the front desk and they said it was from a smoking room. Odd since they'd just told us at check-in that it was a non-smoking floor. Everything about this hotel is very nice and it appears to have recently been renovated.
