I travel I-57 regularly for work. Two weeks ago I had the unforunate experience of staying in one of their jail cells they call a room (see my review). Last night I didn't make that same mistake and chose the Econo-Lodge located on the northbound side of the interstate and I'm glad I did. I was actually recommended this hotel... More

Reserved 2 rooms for SIU visit. Internet was slow but everything else was acceptable. They had a little fridge plugged in so a light didn't work. Over all wasn't bad for budget minded trip. Desk people friendly, got room upgrade being Choice hotel member.

I stayed here for a couple nights while visiting my daughter @ SIU. Got a great rate on Hotels.com. The room was spacious and clean with a fridge, microwave and big TV. Comfortable bed and bedding. Adequate - if not awesome - breakfast with good coffee. Staff were friendly. Hot tub was nice and hot and the pool was heated,... More

This hotel has potential to be the very nice hotel that it probably once was 20+ years ago. But, it has not been very well kept and amenities are sub-par. The pool reeked of chlorine and the hot tub was neither hot nor relaxing. The website for this hotel boasts a "Full breakfast" which consisted of bananas, waffles (you make... More

We stayed there for a night on our way through to visiting family. Our room was clean and my dog must have found the room smell free because he didn't spend an hour sniffing and smelling the floor. What made this place great was that my son left his wallet with almost $200 cash and when I called to check,... More

With that said, I have stayed in worse (outside the United States). I can not believe this place gets $ seventy per night! I am surprised at the cost of such mediocre accomodation these days. I hope I won't be staying here again.

The facilities are a bit old and worn, but the service was above average and everything was clean. The manager was cheerful, helpful and informative. The continental breakfast was minimal, but did include waffles made to order.

We stay here a couple times a year to visit relatives in town. It is a lower cost hotel, so the breakfast has fewer choices than the higher dollar rooms (but is generous for the low cost of the room I believe!): (cereal, donut holes, waffle maker, coffee, and juice)..it meets all of our needs. Rooms are always clean, and... More

We stayed here because of our small dog. Bed was comfortable, but the room was not clean. The TV was at least 20 years old and if you wanted to watch, you could not because of the fuzz. It was a Friday night and was very noisy, which I am sure our dog then contributed his own noise as he... More
