We stayed in a historic cabin in the Giant City lodge with two beds in early August 2015. The cabin was clean and nice. Location of the cabin was perfect for who wanted to hike around the state park. Cons were that the inside of the cabin was very dark due to the small windows. The famous fried chicken in... More

We have stayed in the historic cabins during most of our stays since the early 1990s as we find them charming. Nothing has changed, and perhaps a few things should. The interior decorating is clearly dated (plastic Venetian blinds, tired hunter green valances, out of place brass lamps with torn shades), and I'm not sure the double beds have changed... More

Stayed one night and we arrived late. No problem at all. In fact, we were given extra time in the pool and extra time before checkout. Rustic smaller cabins with older TV. I went to have fun with the grandkids and was not disappointed. If you are looking for huge plush rooms with all the amenities, it's not the place... More

Let me start by saying that I love Giant City. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there (1995) and I have been there for many a chicken dinner. I had never stayed in the cabins, so when I went back to the home town for a visit, I decided to stay there. I got a bluff view cabin (Note to... More

The Cabins at Giant City State Park are the perfect place to enjoy nature and relax. You can jump on the wine trail, go hiking, cool off in the outdoor pool or just read a book. Be sure to eat in the lodge and come hungry for the family style fried chicken dinner with all the sides. The dumplings are... More

The Giant City Lodge is a beautiful, rustic building that offers you a place to sit back and relax. The restaurant has all you can eat chicken dinner on Thursdays...a must. The cozy, secluded cabins on the bluff offers quiet serenity plus a peaceful, wooded view. Climbing up to the top of the tower gives you the perfect perspective of... More

The lodge itself is a must see, a beautiful stone and wood structure surrounded by Giant City State Park. The water tower on site also provides a great view of the natural beauties surrounding it. The restaurant however provides some amazing grub that you're sure to return for.

Poor! Poor! Poor! Had to ask for menus for the ones that weren't there when they took orders for the first ones there. Large chef salads were no larger than the small chef salads (bread plate size). Hamburger meat looked different....not like hamburger. Fish sandwich was not good. Strange taste, like it wasn't fully cooked. Very slow service. The food... More

We we there for a family reunion. We enjoyed the Chicken dinner on Saturday evening, the dinning room was crowded but we knew that was going to happen. On Sunday morning we enjoyed a family style breakfast of biscuits and gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and sausage patties. The servers both times were exceptional!
