The first room's heater was broken, cigarette burns EVERYWHERE. Bad smell, dirty carpet, every wall sconce cracked. Asked for a different room, even WORSE! TV screen had been vandalized and would not work, cigarette burns everywhere again, toilet seat barely attached, towels so dirty they looked like someone had cleaned their car rims with them, one bed had blanket but... When cross country following Route 66 and came back and stayed at the Budget Inn Express in Joliet, Ill. It was the absolute worse hotel on the trip. A non-smocking room smelled like a smoking room and the odor got into everything. Toilet seat was a round one on a pedestal toilet. The bath tub was filthy along with the... More

Pillows and sheets on bed had cigarette burns and filthy. Couldn't bring myself to sleep on them. There was a plastic bag over the smoke detector. Cigarette burns on the bath tub, toilet seat and counter top. I left without staying the night, I asked for my money back and was refused. I asked for a partial refund and they... More

Luckily I asked to see the room BEFORE I paid for it. The sheets bedspread and pillow were thrown on the window ledge - they were filthy. The pillows were stained, and there was crap and cigarette burns in the carpet (this is a non-smoking room!!)Absolutely no sign that a housekeeper cleaned the room. I know this is a cheap,... More

Do NOT try to save a few bucks and stay here. First room: hair on the sheets, pillows dingy and flat. Second room: huge burn holes in the bedspread, too scared to check for more hair. We did an about face and got out of there! Spend a few more dollars and stay somewhere else!

This place is terrible. I was late adding more time to my room during check out time because of work, and they gave the family pet away to a guest. With threats of lawsuits, we got her back. The hotel is dirty with trash in same spots in halls and stairs everyday. Stay at Motel 6 behind instead. Much nicer.

We stayed there in Aug 2013. The advertised rate was for a single person. Doubles rate was $5 more. The manager showed us the room before we paid. The room was clean with the bare necessities. No funny smells. Bedspread had a few tiny burn holes and the pillows had seen better days. We asked for, and got additional pillows.... More

My boyfriend and I came here for some peace and quiet BC the house we live is really noisy. The price was good and theyaccepted cash. We get to the room, and to throw myself into the door to get it open. The bedding had tears, the pillows were probably 10 years old (and if you ask the desk people,... More

I was unfortunate enough to have the displeasure of staying at this "motel". The "manager"-His name is Harry, is rude, unsympathetic, and makes no apology for the condition, service, or the inconvenience that he , his staff, and the motel causes its guests. Every day for a week, I walked past the same cigarette butts and disgusting undergarment laying in... More

When we checked in the lobby was the first sign that this was a GHETTO hotel. We checked into our room, and the beds were not made and the sheets and covers smelled funny. The next morning we had to wait for two hours while they washed the same sheets and put them back on the beds. The people next... More
