I stayed one night in a two queen bed room. Bed was comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. Location is just outside Galena, you can be downtown in a 5 minute drive. I didn't use it, but the pool area looked nice for kids. Complimentary breakfast was also good. My check-in experience was positive. I was allowed to check in... more

My wife booked a fairly last minute trip to Galena in late April, and have also liked Country Inns in other locations, so we booked a room here for a a couple of days at a very reasonable price. When checking in, we inquired about an upgrade, and at least partially based on the hotel's points membership, was upgraded for... more

The daytime staff were not helpful. The night time staff was great. Galena has a real small town feel. The hotel was 30% full. We were given a room next to the noisy ice machine. When we asked for another room the attitude was poor. We were given another noisy room. The staff know the better rooms. Why did they... more

Our family booked several rooms at this hotel over the weekend of Sept. 13, 2008, for a family gathering before my brother was sent for active duty in Afghanistan. Due to a heavy rainstorm with terrible flooding, a main northern Illinois highway was closed and we could not get to Galena from many of our hometowns in northern Illinois and... more

We (two adults) stayed two nights in a king standard room. There is plenty of space; the room was very clean; the bathroom is a good size; the bed was comfortable; the internet connection worked well. Having fruit and cookies in the lobby is a nice touch. We didn't have their breakfast in the morning, but it was nice to... more

We had a great stay at this hotel. We checked in quickly and were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We went right to the pool (which we had all to ourselves!!!!!) We had the giant waterslide turned on but after a few trips down, asked the nice girl turn it off because we were quite embarrassed that the... more

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast was much more than just the typical continental, and offered items such as waffles, sausage links, cereals, oatmeals, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, etc. There was also complimentary coffee and cookies 24/7 in the dining area. Its very close to... more

We usually like Country Inn & Suites. This one, not so much. The desk clerk seemed to be hiding most of the time (would come out from some back office room after awhile if you stood at counter long enough.) Did not get wi-fi to work the whole time we were there...desk was very unhelpful about that ("it should just... more

A very satisfying stay for me and my significant other. The breakfast was a little more than continental with the made to order waffles. The game room, jaccuzi and the slide in the swimming pool added for more things to do at the hotel. Walmart is about a half mile away and its 24 hours. I enjoy my overall stay... more

This is a nice newer hotel, so everything is still clean and new. You can walk to Culvers, there is a Subway across the street, and you are less than a mile from a Super Walmart! There is a miniature golf course you can walk to also. And it takes 5 minutes to get to downtown Galena. Great pool area,... more
