We stayed in cabin 7 which is one of the newer cabins. Which was much bigger then the cabin we stayed last year. They sure didn't clean the cabin from the last people who stayed in there last. We found food in the top bunkbed. That was the only bad part. It wasnt to far to the heated bathroom/showers. They... More

After reading dubious reviews we were hesitant to stay here but it is the only campground so close to the historic sites. The only negative we can find is a temporary one- they are reprinting and sprucing up the bath house but the cleaning crew just spread drywall dust into muck. I had to clean a sink before I could... Had a wonderful time at the palace, arcade, swimming, and mini-golf... Great fun for minimal costs. Love the fact that a Walmart is next door, I always forget something! Can't wait to return this year.

My husband and I spent a few days in Galena and decided to camp. This campground is well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful, had a great knowledge of Galena. The pool and miniature golf were not open because it was so early in the season but they looked inviting. They are located very close to Galena, within... More

I stayed in the cabins with my two sons. They were visually very charming, and nice and clean. There was a great little area for the kids to play and have a campfire, which they loved. It also happened to be the trick-or-treat weekend which is held in September, so that was really fun for us. I would recommend this... More

Stayed at this campground for three days. Nice rural setting. Sites are smallish but well maintained. They have free outdoor movies and free hay rides on Saturday. The hayride was fun. They kept giving rides until everyone had a ride. WFI is also free. The back area is really nice. A lot of trees and a great place to take... More

I work in customer service. The customer isn't always right but when you tell a customer one thing but then charge another i have a problem with that! The lack of caring is really unbelievable to me. The whole point is to get customers to come back not for them to have to go online and write a review to... More

Questionable location, taken back a bit by being so close to interstate 20, and just over the hill from Wal mart. Cabin was nice on the inside. setting back in camping area was a little woodsy, but you could still here highway traffic. Plus side to location if you forgot anything it was easy to pick up... we were close... More

Spent a long weekend here for an annual gathering with friends. Facilities were well kept, staff was friendly, and relatively close to Iowa and Wisconsin. Bathroom facilities were ok, certainly not five star accommodations, but it's a campground of course, and pretty much comes with the territory. Overall a good experience, I'd stay here again if in the area

Sites were very small/narrow. There was no firepit. The water we hooked up to at the site was not something I would even put in my dog's water dish. We camp all over WI, IL & IA each summer & this was definitely one of the worse ones. We will not venture here again.
