I have been a Hilton Diamond for many years and stay almost exclusively at Hilton properties. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the lobby of the eight-story Freeport Hampton. The lobby was warm and welcoming and the front desk clerk was exceedingly cheery and helpful. We stayed for three nights over the Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful stay. The hotel was recently renovated and was like new! The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. We checked in late at night after our flight was delayed, and the woman working the desk offered to put on a pot of coffee for us.... more

If you are visiting Freeport IL and need a Hotel ,stay here. Everthing is new. Furnishings ,carpets,lobby.The downtown area is somewhat depressing ,but the Hampton Inn on Galena Ave is one of the nicest Hampton Inns you will find anywhere. more
