The location is great. 5-10 mins walk to the surf beach and cafes/ restaurants and 2 mins walk down the a deserted long black sandy beach. The staff were super friendly especially Made who works at the pool bar and who delighted our 6 year old with his drawings and Indonesian lessons. The rooms are comfortable and clean. (only downside... More

On my way to Ijen Volcano, I decided to stop at Gajah Mina, and tried the new villa, I had heard of through some friends, who stayed there. What a pleasant spot! Welcomed by a great view of the fountain in the bathroom garden, through this nicely carved Javanese door. I was immediately attracted by the large mirror, reflecting the... More

Gajah Mina is on the Balian point a short walk to the surf beach to the left, fishing village on the right and a bat cave nestled into the cliff, right below, facing the sea. Two large monitor lizards live with the bats make you think Richard Attenborough must be lurking somewhere nearby. We had our 17 and 20 year... More

Our overall impression was that it felt empty rather than private. The hotel doesn't seem to host a lot of guests which is probable due to a number of factors - it is not the easiest place to get to, it is on the higher end of the price scale for the area and the private beach is not for... More

Very beautiful hotel - architecture is amazing. Rooms are very private and luxurious with outdoor showers. No TV! Friendly staff, private beach and nice views from the peninsula. I felt the food was average which was a bit of a disappointment but I'd definitely go back if passing through.

After 10 days around Bali ,on the recommendation of some friends we met in Amed. We decided to spend our last 3 nights a Gajah Mina Beach Resort. Perfect advice ! The one bedroom villa we had was perfect , beautiful view of the small beach, close to the swimming pool. The views from the garden are breathtaking . Cliffs... More

We really enjoyed our 5 nights stay in Gajah Mina in the end of May. We stayed in the family villa nb1 . Very comfortable .Two big bedrooms and a small child bedroom in the middle of them. An outside Bale to have breakfast in the morning, and a superb sun roof to look at the sea while downing a... More

This ia a very relaxing resort but be ready to walk up a massive hill in order to get to the beach as there is no access from the actual resort. While the owner is present the staff in the restaurant are great but slacken off considerably when left on their own. We were the only people in the restaurant... More

This was the second stay at Gajah Mina and we loved our stay. Its nothing like the big resorts, which is why we love this place- Staying at the big resorts..you could be any where, at the Gajah Mina- you know you are in Bali as it might have been in the past. Our room was great- absolutely love the... More

We went to bali first time for honeymoon and directly went to this resort, so it was first impression of bali.very peaceful, different away from city resort but too expensive and hygienically not good, found insect there in bath tub, still the staff didn't refunded money. :( and 18000 per day is too much..not worth it..
