The placed was closed a month plus ago. Here is the note published in the local Chicago Tribune Unceremonious is one way to describe the expected closure this weekend of the Waverton Hotel in Elmhurst. City officials said they were not aware until earlier this week that plans were afoot to close the hotel owned by a Texas-based bank. That's... More

I've stayed ast the Waverton several times over the last two years as it's close to a college soccer field. I originally booked a room there because of this proximity and because they have a water park... of course, when we arrived we learned that the water park was down for maintenance... bummer. I've booked with breakfast and without... truthfully,... More

People who used Groupon on a regular basis were offered rooms at around $40-$50 per night on a regular basis, even without the Groupon. This made this hotel palatable for work purposes. The hotel itself is not very clean nd not updated. The staff, however, are fantastic. They are friendly and willing to go out of their way or the... More

I guess I should've checked the reviews before booking! We stayed one night in the hotel, Friday, March 29. While it was Spring break week and all, paying $175 or so what we paid was WAY TOO MUCH MONEY for this place. The room was "ok" had many stains on carpet and the soap in the bathtub/shower was literally the... More

I basically broke my own rule and ignored the reviews by other people. My ten year old even noticed that the hotel looked run down and dirty and I tried to downplay it and said give it a chance. He was right. The bad: The Carpeting looks like it’s been there since the 80’s. The room was a decent size... More

Despite the reviews my family and I decided to stay. I regret that decision. Check in was average. Waterpark was just ok. Water seemed dirty. After dinner we came back to the room, tried to relax, but the hallway was filled with kids running around, doors slamming, adults talking to eachother from one end to each other. Very inconsiderate if... More

Booked a weekend at the Waverton because I thought I'd visit family and let the teenagers & their friends enjoy an indoor water park while it was still rather chilly outside. Sounded great. in reality, this hotel, and its water park are dirty. All of us were disgusted by the lack of attention/maintenance. This hotel has an opportunity to be... More

I only stayed overnight but for the time I was there everything went as well as it could have gone. The time I choose to check-in could not have been worse. The front desk was absolutely slammed with people trying to check-in and there was a big line. However, what I witnessed was a staff doing their absolute best to... More

This place is horrible!!! The health department needs to come and inspect the hotel. When arriving into our room we had notice how filthy it was. The carpet had dried up cheese on it. The bathroom was nasty. I went back to the front desk...i explained our issue, the front desk worker quickly said well all the rooms are filled... More
