In the small Coal mining town of DuQuoin there are not many places to stay when visiting family that leave you saying, "Ahhh.... What a great experience!" However, Francie's Inn delivers! We have a six year old son and frequently seek a decent place to stay when visiting family in DuQuoin. We have stayed at just about every hotel between... More

Thank you for the wonderful time our family had this past weekend. We had 15 siblings get together at Francine's. Debbie prepared a delicious breakfast. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Everyone felt at ease in this beautiful home. Unlike a hotel, this B & B felt like home. We sincerely appreciate Francine's staff for making this such a... More

We had a wonderful time at Francie's. The owners are cordial and welcoming. We were made to feel right at home. The rooms lovely, the home enchanting, and the grounds gorgeous. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Best part was swinging on the swing on the front porch and relaxing!

Given the lack of options and few prior reviews, wasn't sure what to expect. Reservation was made via emil. Arrived late, but not a problem. Facility began life as an orphanage, and is on its 4th owner as a B & B. Not the Ritz, but rooms are modernized and comfortable. Breakfast was served exactly when requested, with dietary needs... Nice little bed and breakfast in a very small town. The host is very pleasant and the room was clean and quite lovely.

Debbie and Roland are the best! The room (The Willow) was great. We were given a tour of the entire B&B. We were told that they wanted us to feel like we were at home and we could make coffee, use the cooler, get ice from the freezer, but let them do the dishes! Breakfast was so good and I'm... More

The inn is as charming as the hosts. Reasonable rates, comfy beds, special snacks and drinks, wifi and great food. We stay here often and are always very relaxed and comfortable and just down the road from Moms!

Finding Francine's was a pleasant surprise in the Carbondale area of southern Illinois. This was the best bed and breakfast I have visited. The innkeepers Debbie an Roland are very personable and great cooks. Roland is a chef by trade. So my five day stay included a great variety of breakfasts. The room had a dish with various snacks and... More

In a culinary desert, Francie's is a REAL find. Repeat customers come here just for the food, which is unbelievably good. We look forward to every breakfast during our stay. The current owers, Debbie & Roland, are superb hosts. Roland's background is an executive chef from Switzerland, whose attention to ingredients, presentation, and food execution is unsurpassed. Debbie will do... More

Francie's made us feel like we were visiting with old friends. Martha and Bruce treated us like family and the food was excellent as was the service. The candlelight breakfast was a very nice touch to starting our day off after a good nights sleep in our beautiful room. Try it.....you will like it !
