This campground was easily located outside of Dewitt, Illinois. It was a nice quiet campground. It appeared to have nice shower facilities, however they were closed when we were there. We were a little surprised by the pit toilets. They needed cleaning badly. The closest town with any stores was Clinton which was not a very far away. Large campsite... More

Great fishing lake, fair camping site. Kinda out of the way for me. But some of the biggest catfish I have ever seen in a lake. Make sure you bring a gps for your boat. The lake is bigger than you think. The spillway is were all the big cats are laying just waiting for you.

This place is hard to find but is worth the effort if you seek serenity. Call the park office ahead of time and get specific directions from I-74; GPS is iffy and the local signage is very poor. We camped during the week so the whole place was very quiet. Huge clean, grassy lots (all with shade) but no actual... More

This is our favorite campground in Illinois. It is very busy on the weekends and if you don't reserve your site you might not get a very good spot. The spots are large and grassy which is nice. We try to get a full hook up but they don't have many of these type of sites. The bathrooms are not... More

The camping and beach areas are wonderful! I have issues with the restrooms, though. The ones closest to the campgrounds are outhouses dressed in brick facades. They are really sickening. They smell like amonia which has to be very unhealthy!! There are no sinks to wash hands, either. Nasty.

Google maps make this hard to find. If you book online the directions emailed are confusing too. Include Mascoutin and the actual address in your search. We stayed in loop G with full hookups. The sites are huge and loops are great for groups of 5-6 because they offer privacy. If you have a larger camper with multiple slides you... More

The beach is nice but if you go into the water you will feel the rocks underneath and you will smell the fumes left by passing motor yachts and water scooters. Also, the urinals in the men's restroom at the beach house were out of order. In general the area is very attractive.

This is a wonderful place to camp. Clean shower house's, and simple a comfortable place to be out in elements for a week or even a night. The only negative comment I have about this camping area is the site 1 employee (site 2 couple are great) that is suppose to take $ for to fill up campsite. Rude don't... More

First let me say, it should be mentioned that this park shares the same lake as a nuclear generating station. The water was 99 degrees and not refreshing at all. The showers are okay, but the toilets are disgusting. It was hard to find our campsite as none of the signs are illuminated and hard to see when its getting... More

We've been camping here for nearly thirty years. : ) Took my boys when they were young and now we take their kids. We just returned from a nine day stay on K Loop and I love that loop as much as I did the first time I camped it. The campground is quiet at night, busy on the weekends,... More
