I was visiting St. Louis to attend three baseball games, and wanted an affordable motel nearby. The Super 8 was excellent. It was less than a 15 minute drive from Busch Stadium, but still comfortably outside the hustle and bustle of the big city. All room doors are accessed from the hotel interior, and the front and back entrances require... more
Clean place with friendly staff. Plenty of surrounding restaurants with wide choices within walking distance. Continental breakfast served for free and just across river from Gateway Arch. Internet access was patchy. Fridge & microwave in room. more
And this one filled our needs. Located in an area with many other hotels and restaurants, it was exactly what we were looking for. The room was clean with fridge and microwave. Would definitely stay there again. Price was right, too - $54. more
Although there were signs everywhere that smoking was not allowed in the hotel, the whole place stunk like smoke. I think it was the employees smoking in the basement because I didn't see any guests smoking. We booked two rooms at the Super 8 in Collinsville so that we would be close to the airport for our flight the following morning. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of this motel. Because it was a cheap room, I had expected something a little dingier. However, our room came with two full beds, cable tv with about... more

After spending a night in a very nice St. Louis downtown hotel we needed a place on our way out of St. Louis going north towards Chicago. Conveniently located off Interstate 55 amidst other hotels, fast food and dining restaurants, with a nearby Walmart and other stores. The hotel is renovating several rooms during our stay so it was a... more
This summer we crossed the US and drove the Route 66. After visiting St. Louis we looked for a good, affordable place. To find something good in town for our price-range, was hard. So we left St. Louis and looked around the Interstate-Exits. We found Collinsville, which is really close to St. Louis. The Super 8 offered us the best... more
Traveling eastward, we picked up a coupon book at a rest area and availed ourselves of the $49 rate. This motel is a three-story building without elevtors, a functional but not luxurious place where a queen bed and various amenities are crammed into a rather small room. But it was clean, the TV had HBO and a full cable line-up,... more
