1920s farm house in the country with 80 acres to roam or drive the Wine Trail to many local vineyards for your tasting enjoyment. You get the entire house to yourself with full kitchen, outdoor BBQ grill and fire pit. Has 5 private bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Very comfortable and relaxing. Every detail is taken care of by the... More

Enjoyed a 'girls weekend' on the Shawnee Wine Trail and stayed 2 nights at the B&B. Everything is so nice, clean and bright and the location is very scenic. It's a historic farm house with fields and equipment sheds around (but not in use and obtrusive). The large porches on front and back are a great place to just sit... More

Water Valley Inn is a beautiful, old-fashioned farmhouse nestled amongst the hills and valleys of southern Illinois deep inside wine country. This bed-and-breakfast is my first experience ever and will definitely be my next for its location, its old-fashioned and modern amenities, and its very friendly owner. The grounds are spacious and dotted with old farm outbuildings. If you're looking... More

Cousins, daughters, aunts, mothers, and a bonus daughter got together to have a girls' weekend at the amazing Water Valley Inn. We were blown away by the historic house which made us feel like we had returned to a beloved Grandma's home. The house was spacious and allowed for intimate gatherings both inside and out. The innkeeper thoughtfully provides robes... More

This two story house has many personal touches added by inn keepers to delight guests. One could go with all provisions and cook in, or eat out in surrounding areas. House is two story with five bedrooms, two baths and full kitchen on several manicured acres with woodsy areas around. It is in full countryside. We had eight in our... More

I have been coming to the Water Valley Inn for years now, and I just love it! As soon as I walk through the door, I feel like I am home. This past weekend my entire family went and we had such a nice time. We utilized the giant yard to conduct our own family summer Olympics! It was a... More

Just returned home from a weekend getaway at this Inn with two other couples. It is great! The owner has supplied every room with everything needed....she thought of every little detail. The only thing you need to pack is your clothes. Snacks, toilet paper (the good kind) shampoo, sugar, coffee and creamer, pancake mix and syrup, tea, oatmeal, ketchup, mustard,... More

I was looking for a central meeting place between Arkansas, Ohio, and Chicago for our family vacation. This place was perfect! There's even an Amtrak station in nearby Carbondale with service to Chicago daily. Shortly after exiting the interstate, we began seeing the beautiful hills, valleys, and orchards of the area. When we arrived at the house, it exceeded all... More

We chose this inn because it is located in the Southern Illinois area featured in Midwest Living magazine, and met our unique needs. We planned a family vacation, and needed 3 or 4 bedrooms, and a traditional B&B would have been too expensive to rent 3 rooms for a full week. Water Valley has 5 bedrooms, and you rent the... More
