We chose this inn because it is located in the Southern Illinois area featured in Midwest Living magazine, and met our unique needs. We planned a family vacation, and needed 3 or 4 bedrooms, and a traditional B&B would have been too expensive to rent 3 rooms for a full week. Water Valley has 5 bedrooms, and you rent the whole house, not just individual bedrooms. The inn is also unique in that there is no staff on-site; the proprietors provide all the fixin's for breakfast, but you are on your own for cooking your meals. The inn is a large farm house, with complete amenities; you can use the kitchen as much or as little as you wish. It is very comfortably provisioned, with all the usual furnishings. We used 3 bedrooms for the 3 couples, and one for the 7 mo old infant. It worked great!
