I Stayed in this hotel with my wife in Mid August and I was disappointed I only got to stay two nights . Everything about this place was fantastic ! Location cant be beat as just of Magnificent Mile and a block from John Hancock building. Nearest station was Chicago/ State on the red line and was five minutes walk... More

In an area of very expensive hotels, DeWitt place stands out as excellent value. If visiting Chicago means the Miracle Mile then this is a good place for you. The room was spacious and includes a kitchen (which I didn't use but would have been useful if I had been on a tight budget). It's got an old lift but... More

It is a nice place, walking distance from the John Hancock building and Michigan Avenue and all other amenities. Nice clean room with all the stuff you need for cooking and all and I appreciate the staff making extra effort to allow you to check in earlier if a room is available. Would have given 5 stars if I was... More

Lets start with the bad. My first room was 105. It is the only room on the floor and the only room with no controlling the temp in your room, it is controlled by the temp in the lobby. I asked to be moved because I was to hot. My next room was great. #401. Our other room was #409,... More

Firstly this is not a traditional hotel but a hotel apartment. So kitchen cutlery etc is available The biggest selling point is the location. The Internet is really dissapointing..free buy very slow We were on the top floor towards the corner..and in this room the AC is bang opposite the bed at bed height. So it's directly in front of... I generally loved this hotel. You can't beat the location and great price to go with it. This is an older hotel/apartment, but the rooms were bright and updated. The only thing I would complain about it the bed, there was a distinct slope, so the mattress could use replacing. Also the sheets were pilling. I thought I was sleeping... More

This is an older building maybe built in the 1930's. It has character, tall ceilings, an adorable small elevator. The rooms have been remodeled and they have kitchenettes. If you want a luxurious hotel, forget this, but if you want an incredibly priced hotel 2 blocks from Michigan Ave behind the John Hancock building this is your place. Here's why... More

This is literally a corporate housing establishment that will sell out rooms for a night or two that are not being rented. Nice location, but the amenities are dated, the front desk staff is not the most helpful, and our microwave did not work (the whole reason I rented this place was for my dietary restrictions and to have a... The location of this appartment hotel is outstanding for Chicago. Cleaniness should be improved, appartment was pretty small, and the couch was not really ok for sleeping, but the staff delivered some additional blankets. All in all it was a good stay.

This hotel is cheap. I am starting my review with that. Don't go here expecting luxury. The lobby, lounge, and gym have all been renovated and are beautiful. The rooms are old and in need of updating, but for the price the location is excellent and the value is excellent. I ended up here because I was traveling with 4... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
