We selected the Allegro because of its location. It is next door to the Cadillac Palace Theater, where we were seeing Jersey Boys. The commute from room to our seats was less than five minutes. Overall, beyond just the location, we enjoyed our stay. Yes, it's expensive and the rooms/bathrooms are really tiny. But the theming is fun and the... More

The Hotel Allegro is like going back in time. Recently renovated, they have captured the elegant style of the 30's in the lobbies and rooms, without losing the essence. Our room had two luxurious leopard printed robes, which was a welcome change from the standard white. The staff did everything to go above and beyond to make us feel welcome.... More

I normally visit Chicago at least once a year on business, and I try to stay at the Allegro when possible. The hotel is conveniently located in the Theater District, and is nearby to subway lines for trips to outer attractions like Wrigley Field. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, though the hotel does skin you for wi-fi access that is... More

I enjoyed staying at the hotel. The rooms are small but adequate. The walls are indeed thin, but I could hear the next door guest because they had screaming kids bumping again the wall. However, it was very comfortable to me, I got a room with a view of the front street , since the hotel is surrounded by many... More

Clean fresh in the contemporary Kimpton way. Staff courteous and attentive. Room clean and spacious, though the bathroom size was an after thought, room was Chicago sized and the bathroom was Smaller than what you would expect in Paris! For one night, tolerable.

The service was great here. We loved the location. Our room was a bit small, but we weren't there to hang in our room so it was perfect. The bathroom was so small that two people couldn't stand in there at the same time and do their makeup/hair. The happy hour drinks were awesome, we would go back in a... More

Although I did not stay at the hotel, my experience with the Sales office (Cody) was fantastic. They made my groups hotel experience enjoyable and never once had an issue. They were also very accommodating with last minute changes to the hotel rooms.

I stayed at the Allegro as part of a business trip in April 2015. I t was a nice experience, nothing very thrilling about it but nonetheless relaxing and welcoming. Here's how it went: 1- Location The hotel is located in the middle of downtown Chicago just right in the middle of where "everything happens". It is a few blocks... More

Since we discovered Hotel Allegro several years ago, it is where we choose to stay every time we visit Chicago. The service is stellar, the rooms comfortable, and a the location convenient to both shopping and the theater district. The rooms are not large, but they are well appointed and the coffee/tea/hot chocolate service in the mornings is awesome!

What a charming, clean, modern and fun hotel. You can't go wrong with the wine happy hour in the lobby from 5-6, I believe every night - I was only here during the week therefore I don't know if they do this on the weekend. You will find a yoga mat in your closet and a few different channels providing... More

This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
