We were looking for a hotel with easy access to attractions and the trains and this hotel was just right. The wine social in the lobby each evening was a lot of fun. Two nights, there were people from the Field museum with insects, both alive and in cases. Everyone on the staff was helpful, even the porter telling us... More

Boutique hotel rooms are smaller- I get it. But shouldn't they have a closet, especially if you book a king size bed in room for 5 nights ? Granted, I got a deal through one of the Priceline -Travelocity type cites weeks in advance, but still. The good- --- very clean, pretty lobby area, location in theatre district, large tv,... More

The rooms are very small but the staff was pleasant and accommodating -- we had a terrible view of the roof of another building and that was about it -- but the staff moved us right away at our request to a room on a higher floor. Our rooms were very clean but as everyone has said -- the bathrooms... More

we just returned home from a very lovely stay here. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed and everyone was smiling. Every night enjoy complimentary beer and wine and every morning enjoy complimentary coffee. There is also a Starbucks you can access from inside. The room was tastefully done and very clean - on the smaller side. The... More

We stayed at Hotel Allegro as it was found on one of the internet sites and the price was reasonable for the short stay for the ball game. We stayed two nights. Check in was easy, as well as having our car parked upon arrival. The room was clean. However, it is an old building that has been remodeled. It... More

The Allegro is a preferred hotel for my company and I stay here about once a year while visiting Chicago. The hotel itself has a very trendy vibe. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and have adequate amenities. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are teeny tiny. I consider myself to be a fairly low... More

In July 2014 I had to travel to Chicago on business. I have a 10 year old cat who is diabetic and requires daily insulin shots so she has to travel with me on all personal and business trips. The week before my trip I called Hotel Allegro to inquire about their pet policy as most hotels now accept dogs... More

Honestly I was expecting so much more out of this hotel considering it's location. Conveniently located on the corner of Randolph and Lasalle in the heart of the downtown Chicago and the theatre district, this hotel could be great. But unfortunately it's mediocre customer service and stark room decor leave much to be desired. The entrance to the hotel on... More

Imagine arriving at 1 am, after a long day of travel, to find that the reservation you made months ago will not be honored because the hotel is overbooked. This was more than a mere inconvenience as we were exhausted, but had to go out and find a cab and go to another hotel. Allegro had arranged the reservation at... More

Rooms ok, but small. Sink is ridiculous. Can't fit hand between faucet and basin--too modern. Great space in the lobby for meetings. I would stay here again because of location and nothing else. As they say in the real estate business, location is everything.
