So the room was small, but classy. There is something to be said about being downtown and within walking distance to the Cadillac Theatre, great shopping and a wonderful Chi-town experience. Loved the very friendly staff!

I spent one night at the hotel. Staff was very friendly, but the room I had was very small, very hard to move around. They also have a problem turning on the water in the shower, and I was told to "pull as hard as I can" in order to turn the water on. Can't they just fix it? They... More

We were in town for a wedding. We tried to get in a lot in the 3 days we were in Chicago. This hotel has a great location. We caught the train out to Wrigley Field, we were able to walk to the wedding festivities, and it was generally easy to get around. The hotel has a Starbucks and Dunkin'... More

This hotel it's older and small. The rooms and closets are very small, but it's in a great location, walking distance to lot's of shopping and restaurants. Perfect for a business trip or shopping trip. Friendly staff and very clean. They have a happy hour in the afternoon and coffee and tea in the mornings. I would recommend it for... More

Stayed here for a bachelorette party. The hotel was under construction so hard to give it a fair rating - it was an old hotel, so a good time for a remodel, and the rooms were small but all in all we had a good experience. It was very convenient to walk to a lot of places downtown and was... More

The hotel isn't much to look at from the street, but that is where the dullness ends. In the lower level the guest is thrust into a time far from today's bustle. The carpet on the stairs leading to the lobby immediately transports you to the late 20's or early 30s'. The style is a very new yet old Art... More

Very helpful staff, but the rooms are really small. Its well located for people working in the area (bang in the middle of the office area) and also those into theater (beside the theater district of Chicago). No in house dining options.

Loved my stay at the Allegro! The room was clean and decorated lovely. It had a very comfortable bed and pillows. It had a small closet with iron, ironing board and a leopard robe. Yes the room is small and bathroom as well but it is downtown Chicago. The property was centrally located and we walked everywhere we needed to... More

No problems at this hotel. Didn't love it - didn't hate it. Hotel Allegro is in the theater district - good location, restaurants, theaters, shopping etc. Rooms incredibly small (smallest closet I have ever seen, smaller than a hotel I stayed in Paris) - but very clean. No problems there. Staff very professional and helpful. Quiet part of downtown if... More

Great staff, beautiful room, and very reasonably priced for inner-city Chicago. I paid less for a King Suite than I did for a tiny room at the Marriott in Coralville Iowa. Everyone from the Bellmen to the hotel staff went out of their way to be nice to us and to ensure a great stay.
