Beautiful art deco hotel from the 1920's. Very opulent in all furnishings and small details. Small rooms but very well done with attention to details. The grand staircase is gorgeous. Just a short walk to restaurants and theaters. I hope to return to Hotel Allegro.

Stayed one night on Super Bowl Sunday. Even though we did not spend much time at the hotel other than sleeping, I can tell you this place is first class. we also missed the evening wine reception. I saw the setup and it was quite impressive. The room was small but adequate. Nice location as well. I will be back.

We had another nice stay at Hotel Allegro recently. Staff was friendly. Love the decor. Enjoyed free prosecco and spiced hot chocolate in the afternoon. Our room was small but comfortable. Great location and lovely facility. FYI, there is a surface parking lot only about two blocks up where the overnight rate is very reasonable.

The staff goes above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Rachel and Mauri were at the front desk when we arrived and they were both so kind and accommodating. It set the tone for a wonderful visit to Chicago. The recent refresh to the whole hotel is beautiful and the hosted social hour is not to be missed. We... More

Great welcoming staff. Free glass of prosecco at check in b/c I said I had a rough day. Rooms are very small but that is what you get with these Kimptons. Very loud crew from a company meeting at the hotel meant that a drink at the bar was not pleasant, but otherwise a good experience and good value for... More

Good hotel in theater area convenient to many restaurants shopping and businesses. Service was excellent at front desk, bar, restaurant and bellman. Free happy hour proseccio and hot chocolate in lobby in late afternoon. Attached 312 restaurant has very good Italian inspired menu and service. Only negative was my room was small including a small bathroom. All else very good.

Easy, comfortable, reasonable and with nice Kimpton benefits. Great location. Quiet on a high floor. Only issue was no coffee machine in room and slight odor from rug cleaner - they are pet friendly so maybe that explains but I would definitely return.

Loved the Art Deco details of the hotel. The spiked hot chocolate and wine hour was fantastic on a cold December evening. Staff was pleasant. Rooms were small. Not a lot of space for luggage, though good for an overnight stay. The hallways are a bit noisy but didn't have any issues over night.
