The room we had was clean and elegant, and located several floors above the El, quiet. The staff was courteous. The hotel bar visually impressive and staffed by a friendly bartender, was a great place to spend a few minutes before our evening began. All in all, a good base to explore downtown Chicago.

This was a great hotel centrally located and very convenient to transportation. The decor had a very upscale look to it and the rooms and bath areas were very nice. The staff was very helpful and polite. Any additional request were responded to very quickly. It was a great stay and I would stay there again.

We loved our stay at the Silversmith, which has a luxurious, upscale feel from the decor and furnishings, to the spotless cleanliness of the rooms. The staff was extremely warm and friendly, from check-in throughout our stay. The location was perfect for visiting the School of the Art Institute just a short walk away. We also walked to the Magnificent... More

This boutique style hotel has a classy interior, large rooms and great staff. There is a noise factor if one has trouble sleeping. Its location is the premier feature. We did have to ask for more tea pods but the Keurig coffee/tea machine was most appreciated.

I travel and stay in hotels frequently for both work and family trips. This hotel is always a favorite when staying in Chicago. The service, by staff at all levels- is amazing. Everything is clean, the rooms are large and the decor is gorgeous. Everyone that works at this hotel has a smile on their face, warm greeting and go... More

With so much accommodation to choose from in Chicago where does one start? I was looking for somewhere close to the art institute and happened on the Silversmith, a heritage building boutique style hotel. Although on an L-line street (Wabash Ave) the rooms have double glazing and all you here is a gentle rumble from the trains. The rooms are... More

This hotel seems like a hidden gem! The location is perfect if you are visiting Chicago for the museums and the theater. The Art Institute is only blocks away and the Museum Campus is around 1.5 miles. The hotel is currently situated between two train stations each less than two blocks away, so we were able to use CTA for... More

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this hotel. Due to construction on Wabash, it's a little tricky to find, but well worth it. Patty at the desk, was especially helpful. Rooms were beautiful and very clean. No problem with noise. Bed was very comfortable. Great location to see downtown. Close to just about everything.

We are a family of three. Decided to extend our holiday with a stopover in Chicago. We used the blue line to travel from the airport (45 minutes @ $5 per person) excellent value. The Location of the hotel is ideal for walking to any of the attractions (Navy Pier,Millennium park and close to Museums via bus ride. the staff... More

We stayed two nights while in town for baseball games. Loved our stay. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are ultra modern. Staff is fantastic. The front desk personnel remembered our son every time we came in. Super convenient location for Millennium Park, El and River. Valet sometimes a little slow, but there is lots of construction on Wabash currently that may... More
