I did the Priceline name your price thingy and here is where it put me. If you want to be right on Michigan Ave this is the place. I was in town for Carousel at the Lyric so I would have preferred to be more south but the location was perfect. Great location if you are shopping, its 2 blocks... More

I stayed here for two nights on business. The hotel atmosphere was superb, and so was the service. I loved the design of the meeting spaces and the lounge area. My only issue was that the room was small, especially the closet and the bathroom! It should be called a "shower" room because most of the space was for the... More

Hello pentajs, Thank you for the comments on our atmosphere, service, meeting space and lounge. We can be a little tight on space in some of our rooms and overly spacious in others. The next time you stay maybe an executive king room or a superior suite would offer you the space you desire. The Mag Mile can be high... More

I was a bit skeptical about staying here after reading some of the reviews as well as the fact that it was not my choice to stay here since it was our assigned hotel as part of a convention. But I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. First of all the location can't be beat. If you are coming to... More

Good day Joyce, Thank you for allowing us to win you over. The great thing about this site is everyone gets to tell their story. We appreciate all your feedback and we will strive to rectify those things that were not up to Warrick standards. I am glad you experienced the excitement of Michigan Avenue when out on it and... I want to start this off by saying that I have never written a review before. After our stay though and not being compensated for the inconveniences we encountered, it feels necessary. There was not anything major that happened on our stay, but there were several tiny things that added up to an unenjoyable stay here. The hotel is a... More

Good day Allison M, Thank you for your review. I am disappointed that we did not win you over. I wish the upgrade to a king bedded room would have helped. You are correct that parking in downtown Chicago is a pricing challenge unless you are using your car and then the in and out privileges are a benefit. There... More

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a tour. The hotel is in a great location and the staff were all extremely helpful . Our room over looked the main road but was still quiet. Although not a huge room we were not in t a lot and it was very clean and adequate.

This appears to be an old style Chicago hotel with small compact rooms that has been modernized recently. My room was small but it did have most amenities included, not sure how they fit them all in. I could touch all four walls of the bathroom when I stood in the middle. But it was clean and quiet. The staff... More

Hello Christopher B, Thank you for your kind words. When I hear old style Chicago it makes me think of all those things that make Chicago who we are. From Al Capone to hot dogs, the historic Water Tower to Garrett’s Popcorn and the EL to the Chicago Theater: all these things are old style Chicago. The Warwick Allerton Hotel,... More

Just got back from a 2 night stay here as part of a 3 centered holiday. We arrived fairly late after a long journey and were met by the lovely Tracee. She was so lovely, welcoming and extremely helpful with recommendations of restaurants and places to see. A real star. Our room was very comfortable. The bar area was very... More

Just got back from Chicago and had stayed in 3 different hotels along the way. The Allerton was the first on our trip. I agree with one of the previous reviews about the pipes LOL It was a bit of a shock at first as every time you turn the shower on it sounds like it is about to explode... More

Good day Travelling67, Thank you for the good and not so good in your review. Rattling pipes, speed and small rooms – not what we like to hear but true. At 90 years of age we can shake and rattle and stir. We do our best to stay on top of these issue but we can come up short occasionally.... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
