This hotel is a lovely historical hotel right in the magic mile shopping district. The rooms are not huge but are comfortable. Friendly staff, complimentary morning coffee and a great gym make this a very pleasant hotel to stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights for a business meeting. Rooms were clean, service was good and you cannot beat the location. I would definitely stay here again for the right room rate. Our first time in Chicago could not have been better. The location of the Allerton is perfect. Roberta at the front desk was exceptional. She is a real asset to this property. The concierge, Bouchaib, arranged for a late check out to accommodate our late flight. Can't wait to return!

The hotel is located on Michigan Avenue near the Apple Store. Handy for all the shops, restaurants and bars in the downtown area.
