We stayed here in August with our family of 4 and another family of 5. We shared a 2 bedroom suite. The location is great - close to everything you want to do with kids. The free breakfast was good, however thought it was a bit messy (took forever for them to empty the trash) and very crowded. Our room... More

Thank you for choosing the Residence Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile for your family vacation. Being just one block east of Michigan Avenue and one block west of Lake Michigan our location is a perfect fit. I appreciate the feedback on breakfast and have reviewed this with our leaders to ensure a heightened awareness of keeping the trash area cleaned. We... More

Great location and decor. This hotel is modern without forgoing comfort. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The bar area is jumping in the evening and has a cool Vegas feel. We will be back. Thank you for contributing to a great vacation in Chicago.

My 5 year old granddaughter and I decided we love Chicago. This Marriott was centrally located for us. Close to the beach the zoo parks playgrounds. The staff was helpful. Found us a dvd when we couldn't find a TV movie (best buy just a few blocks away). Too much to see and do in only one week. Laundry room... More

Very good experience from beginning to end. Pulled up to front, unloaded luggage and valet took the car. Front desk was busy but put our two rooms side by side. Two room suite was huge, clean and quiet with a comfortable bed with full size fridge and kitchen. Breakfast buffet was free with good coffee, but got crowded near closing. Selection... More

If you're arriving by airplane, you might want to skip a car. At $60 a night, parking is steep. You're close to the John Hancock Tower, Miracle Mile, Water Tower, etc. Breakfast was included and had lots of choices. The staff was extremely helpful and cabs were easy to get. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice residence inn. Typical RI breakfast. Was not there for any of the happy hours. 2 blocks from Lake Michigan and a short walk to the nearest CTA station. Room was enormous. Comfy beds. Only 1 bathroom because its an old condo building, but it did have a separate sink area.

We stay in Chicago frequently and can't believe we missed this hotel. Grandparent, adult children and grandchildren all co-existed in this spacious 2 bedroom suite. We originally planned on VRBO/Air BnB but needed more flexibility to cancel.ideal location for oak street beach/Lincoln Park Zoo/Mag Mile.Parking is pricey so drive around the block and find a cheaper garage. One bath seemed like... We are from the Chicago 'burbs and decided to do a family stay-cation in downtown for a few days to take advantage of living so close to the city. I love Residence Inn's, and they are my go to hotels due to the multi-room suites. The location of the hotel is great. Walton street is very quiet, so although you're... More

My wife and I stayed here with our toddler on a recent Chicago visit. I lived in and around Chicago for many years so I'm familiar with the neighborhoods. We wanted to stay somewhere in the Streeterville or River North areas as those areas are very convenient to the things we wanted to see and do. This hotel was perfect... More

Had a business conference at The Drake (the hotel, nearby on Walton St., not the singer) and thought I could save my company some money (and make myself more comfortable) by staying nearby at a Marriott property. I was right, this was a good choice if one is/was aware that in a prestigious high-demand location, any kind of real estate... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
