Hosted a business function a few weeks ago at the Chicago Downtown Residence Inn, renting a conference room for two days and sleeping room for a night. Was greeted as warmly as I've ever experienced in my travels by super friendly and efficient staff. Tristan upgraded my room, without my even requesting it, to a one bedroom suite on a... More

The large rooms including kitchens are amazing! Quiet, convenient ( little shop steps away for any needs) Away from the crowds but right by Michigan Ave. What more can you ask for! And everyone so nice!

I was not expecting a great hotel, and I didn't get one, but this is a perfectly nice and well-priced option for the loop in Chicago. All rooms are suites; we were comfortable. Decent beds, nice views, lots of space, and the location is great, within walking distance of lots of good shopping and dining. Free wifi, but parking is... More

This trip was for business but I can't wait to bring the family the next time! The staff is friendly & this hotel is located on a nice quiet street 1 block away from all the shopping you would ever want!

I stayed at the hotel for 7 days in April and found this hotel to be quite decent. It is located in the hub of the downtown near Michigan avenue in proximity to 97 floor John Hancock building, landmark Chicago tribune building and Chicago river. Hotel provides good king size bed and late checkout option on prior request . Following... More

I remember this room being enormous, clean, and comfortable. I had an excellent time sleeping due to No Noise! So professional. Loved it. Breakfast room was fine. We ate out so we didn't need a kitchen. Walking around wasn't too bad at all. Felt safe and secluded.

The staff was super nice. Room was great. Better than your typical "free breakfast." Great rates too. Close to magnificent mile attractions. This is my go-to home away from home anytime I need to stay in downtown Chicago.

I visited Chicago during Easter and I’m glad my family and I stayed at this hotel, Employees are super friendly (Thank you Tristan for being super friendly and welcoming!), rooms are newly renovated and the perk is that it’s really close to attractions. The rooms come with a kitchenette and have the main essentials so you can cook if you... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights this week. It was fairly mediocre, but clean, and the staff there were really very good. The hotel appears to be under some renovation relating to the elevators --- for two days, there was only one of the two elevators working. This does appear to be a temporary situation. My room was... This is a pretty top-notch Residence Inn with a peaceful location in a residential area. What is nice is that it is just a couple short blocks from Michigan Ave.- so there is a lot to explore nearby! Staff are very friendly at the check-in desk. They were nice enough to give us a very early check-in which was really... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
