I popped into the Caliterra bar at the Wyndham for a quick drink after a doctor appointment across the street at Northwestern. Kina, the bartender was sweet as could be and offered excellent service and conversation the entire time. As I was signing my bill, I asked her if she knew if there was a UPS store nearby. Kina said...

Just off the magnificent mile section of Chicago this hotel is a standad big city hotel. Th rooms are fine, the ammenities OK. Nothing wrong but nothing particularly interesing. We stayed there because they had a room sale in progress so the price was right.

I stayed here only because it had a reduced rate for a conference I was attending. The first room I was given didn't have working air conditioning and there was a heat wave. The second room had a door to an adjoining room with no soundproofing so I could here every whine from the children next door. I WS told...

Staff on the ball, room spacious and clean, but not great. The heating/cooling seemed off. Room temp difficult to change. Room service food also average. The rooms and public areas are beginning to show their age. Not sure I'd stay here again.

Stayed here for 4 nights for a conference. I was in a room on the fourth floor. Elevators were fairly quick
Pros: Room is reasonable size, quiet (though there is a little noise from the street), clean, comfortable. Bathroom is a nice size. Heat and air unit was quiet. Fitness room was very nice, 4 ellipticals, 4 treadmills, 4 bikes,...

I stayed at the Wyndham for one night on April 15. I arrived on a Sunday, tired and hungry, and was greeted on the street with a cheerful hello from the doorman, who directed me to the second floor. At check-in, I had a very pleasant woman pick up on my weariness and point out that their restaurant was open....

Took the L in from O'Hare changed to the red line and walked about 10 minutes to hotel. Quick, easy and friendly checkin. I liked the idea that you needed a room key to access the bedroom lift. Room was fine. Did not use the wifi. Why can hotels in the middle of nowhere provide free coverage but big hotels...

I thouroughly enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is perfectly located for the Magnificent Mile and within walking distance of many wonderful sites, bars and restaurants. The hotel was well kept and the staff very friendly (esp Roman King and all the concierge staff). Be very careful with wifi in your room. We were told $10.95 per night, but if...
