The wifi is totally unusable, pretty much everywhere in hotel. You can log on but it is so slow and unstable you can get nothing done. Heat was turned off in my room and required an engineer to come and turn on. Television did not work properly. Shower water pressure was sad. Espresso machine was broken for three days I... More

We were allowed an early check-in which was amazing. Our room was prepped as we asked and we were welcomed by everyone very warmly. The hotel is walking distance from everything. We didn't even have to face the cold when getting our Starbucks because it was in the first floor of the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Chicago Magnificant Mile. The rooms were spacious, attractive, and well kept. The hotel was in a great location. Internet service was fast and reliable. We did not use any other hotel services during our two day stay.

Frustration is the remembered experience for this hotel. The designer omitted to make the light switches in the room user-friendly. The staff admit that is the most regular cause for complaint. The bar staff are ill-trained. The first hotel in history to sell gin and water as gin and tonic and persuade the guest that he is wrong. Beware the... More

We stayed here through a volleyball 'stay and play' program. We had a great rate and we were upgraded to a corner executive suite. Check in is on 2nd floor where you'll also find a roomy restaurant and lounge. Although we did not have time to enjoy either, it was always packed. There is a Starbucks on the main floor... More

Hyatt brings the great experience and value to the travel. This hotel is located in the shopping streets and very convenient to many places we love to visit (in walking distance). You can really enjoy the city life of Chicago - a lovely city to visit.

We are truly convenient to shopping! Water Tower Place is just a few short blocks away and has a large variety of shops to pick from. Stayed at this hotel for a business trip. The room was very nice. Front desk staff was helpful and the concierge, Mathew, was terrific and helped me with some dinner plans. service at the Bar was a little slow. Drinks were expensive. I would stay here again.

The Hyatt MagMile is just off Michigan Ave. Great convenient location to much of downtown for business. Also good for afterwork R&R with lots of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing right within walking distance. Stayed multiple times over the past month. Rooms are generously sized. Suites are large and nice. Modern furnishings. Clean, comfortable. Small pool/hottub and gym on 4th floor.... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
