When we walked into the lobby, we thought for a moment that we were in the wrong hotel. The redo is dramatic and very hip (and trendy). Elevators have been redone as well as an update to the rooms and hallways. Has a fresh new look.

I've stayed at numerous Chicago hotel properties and this will hopefully become one which I frequent more often. The new renovations have a much more modern feel and the lobby is fresh and spacious. The location was prime to walk to nearby restaurants, shopping, and other Chicago attractions. Magnificent Mile shopping is about 10 minutes away. Access to the "L"... More

Best hotel in the city. Love the newly redecorated hotel. Lobby is fantastic beautifully done in urban vibe. Food in the lobby is excellent and very reasonable. Restaurant food is also very good, with a great view of city life in Chicago. Get a river view room and watch the traffic on the river, kayaks, people watching. The night views... More

Was here in May for a wedding and I understand from the bridal party that the renovations were completed the week of the wedding. That could be a bit stressful for them, but for the guests there was no residual evidence of construction. The new lobby looks very state of the art and welcoming. Open with sofas and chairs for... The Renaissance was an ideal location to walk the various areas of downtown Chicago. Just a few blocks from Theatre District, easy walks to Magnificent Mile and Millenium Park. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Great recommendation for appetizers and drinks before theater production. Overall we had a great visit.

We stayed at this hotel for a trade show and conference and were there five nights. Wifi was made free only by joining the Marriott Rewards program. Room was comfortable, although bathroom had only one sink for a king room with two guests, but I think this might be typical of Chicago. Decor is very contemporary, has a kind of... More

I travel to Chicago once every year or two and always stay at the Renaissance. Recently the hotel has been remodeled, and while part of it are beautiful, it proves the old adage about "hotels run by people who've never actually stayed in a hotel." Functionally, the hotel needs some tweaking. First, there are two places to grab a meal... More

This property just completed a renovation of the main lobby, guest corridors and guestrooms. I had the pleasure of staying in a King guestroom situated on the corner of the building. I enjoyed beautiful views of the Chicago River and State St. The location on Wacker Drive is ideal as you're within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile, River North... More

I am in Chicago 3-4 times a year and this was my first visit to this property. If available on my future trips I will now stay here. Though a bit on the pricey side it was worth it. I understand it was recently renovated so it was like walking into a brand new hotel. Very nice lobby, bar, restaurant... More

Checked into hotel with Meghan at the front desk. She was amazing, kind, thoughtful, great suggestions for meals. Meghan sent a welcome tray to our room for our grandson with local food favorites With service like this we'll be back and Meghan deserves a raise!!
