While a lifelong resident of the area we decided to take a weekend downtown. We could have stayed on Michigan Avenue, however we decided to stay closer to Millenium Park- This hotel was clean, the beds were top notch, the view was spectacular, coffee and danish in the morning and even though the immediate area was not A++, if you... Really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helped out whenever I needed it. I found that the hotel was in a very safe neighborhood and it was right on the river. It was easy walking distance from most things I wanted to see.

Was here two nights for business. I did not get a special feeling about the hotel. It does not have much identity. People at reception not really personal, average American friendly. Room is ok, but more like the same, had problems to get the right business connection, was struggling with airco, swimming pool is very average and was not so... More

Spent 3 restful nights at this lovely hotel for a conference this week and found it ideal. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The bed, pillows and linens were WONDERFUL! My only regret was leaving the bed every morning for the conference! The conference itself was at the hotel, as well, and included breakfasts and lunches. I was very... More

Had a great stay in Chicago at the Renaissance. The service and staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby, Resturant, concierge lounge and fitness center were immaculate. Very clean and modern looking. The only thing having stayed in other Renaissance hotels is the room I had seemed a little dated. It was very clean, but just the feel was... More

We were there for a business 5 day convention. Our last evening we had the big banquet and dinner. The food was okay, the servers never offered coffee. After dinner we had 4 hours of awards and there were no servers to be found to fill up waters or remove glasses or bring coffee. After asking for water for several... More

Called the Renaissance Hotel home for 5 days and we weren’t disappointed. As many other reviewers have commented, the location is fantastic, as it is close to everything. The lobby was impressively large and welcoming. The staff greeted us warmly, were friendly and attentive – check-in was very smooth. Our bags arrived out our room quickly. Due to the fact... More

We were upgraded to a fabulous suite overlooking the river. The service throughout our stay was wonderful . Would absolutely stay here again. Great location. Close to shopping, resturants and the train. There is an Illy coffee shop in the lobby if you aren't going to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.
