Stayed at the Park Hyatt for 3 nights and was pleasantly surprised. Before this trip, I was not familiar with the Park Hyatt brand, but would certainly stay there again. The parking valet, bellmen, front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and accommodating. They took care of all our needs with a smile. They made my son... More

Have stayed at the PH many times and our recent stay was as wonderful as all of the others. We have tried other hotels in the area but always come back to PH. Room was great, service wonderful, staff friendly and welcoming, and everyone really did know our name. We will return!

Overall, the hotel was nice, but in my opinion not up to the Park Hyatt standard. I have stayed at many Park Hyatt's over the years, and this review is strictly based on previous experience. Recently had a 3 night stay here, 2 nights paid with a diamond suite upgrade applied and a third night booked on points. Arrival: We... More

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights from 17 August and although we paid quite a lot it was really worth it. We had a Lake View room which was amazing. The room itself was very luxurious which is why I was happy to pay the price, we had bathrobes a massive bath with candles with a large separate... More

We just stayed at the Park Hyatt in Downtown Chicago and were underwhelmed. First let’s start with the positives: 1. The hotel is nice and clean. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are decorated tastefully. The hotel was very clean. 2. The service was good and everyone was very nice. 3. The location is great for shoppers The “sort... More

Gracious, nonintrusive service defines this modern classic with thoughtful details. Expect the unexpected, plush bath robes, slippers, bath salts, even candles! This property exceeded expectations and stands as one of my favorite all time hotel getaways! My only complaint? The creepy weird Smurf billboard outside our window and there is no coffee pot in the room!

Excellent location, near many of Chicago attractions, restaurants, magnificent mile, this big chain hotel is pleasing, though always filled with guests. Professional service, good breakfast, good service, nice rooms. Very spacious hotel. I needed and got attentive concierge service. Good hotel option.

We spent two nights here, and we loved every minute. The lobby decor was understated and calming, the staff were totally accommodating, and the room was beautifully appointed. The bathroom was magnificent- marble and granite tiles and counters, walk-in shower, soaking tub, separate toilet room and two sinks. We loved the big bath sheets and the extra amenities nestled in... More

I stayed here this week on business and was very impressed. First, the location was great, right in front of the old water tower and Water Tower Place. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had a unique layout with a bathroom that opened up into the room, giving it a nice open feel. The room... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
