Positives: It is our anniversary on one of the busiest holidays-4th of July. We were given a room with a water view and a complimentary bottle of wine. The king room is decent in size and the bathroom is huge. The separate tub is amazing and will fit two people. There are extra little amenities such as q-tips, nail file,... More

This is by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. Our agent mentioned it was a birthday trip in our booking but I never expected a handwritten welcome note from the manager with a bottle of champagne and a cheese plate to be delivered to our room shortly after we arrived in our room! The room was flawless,... More

This is my first five-star hotel in Chicago. I loved the extras, and they will make me book this hotel again. There was a window seat in my room, where I sat and looked out at the city and lake. I loved that I could open the windows to let the city sounds in. I also loved the bathroom. There... More

We had our daughters wedding at the hotel and it was wonderful. The rooms, service, ballroom and food were outstanding. The guests that stayed at the hotel all raved about how great everything was. Everyone from the front desk to the room attendants provided the very best service. I would highly recommend this hotel for any special event or just... More

Let me just say ..... I rate this a 3-star due to the fact I am rating a higher level Category Hyatt hotel and expect to see, feel and experience the same. Before my review, I need to give kudos to the Concierge staff at this hotel. We worked closley via phone and email and they helped make this trip... More

Great location by Water Tower at Michigan Ave. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was excellent for lunch and the coffee was delicious. Love the outdoor patio for evening cocktails.

This is typically a fantastic property. On this occasion we were consistently disappointed by the housekeeping services. missed turn down, delivered wrong newspaper, inoperable TV, did not replace toiletries even on the 3rd night. Nomi is superb and very consistent.

We had our daughters wedding at the Park Hyatt Chicago and couldn't be more pleased. Rooms, service, ballroom, etc. were all terrific. I would highly recommend this hotel for any special event as well as just to "get away". Great location right on Michigan Ave. across from the historic Water Tower.

When you're shelling out as much as you are to stay at the Park Hyatt, you expect exceptional service and I'm sad to say, I was less than impressed. A month in advance of my stay here, I emailed the hotel to request a room on a higher floor with a lake view and told them I would be in... More

It's been a while since I have checked in to the Hyatt. It is a very nice hotel, but one of the things that I don't like about this one is that it is just too busy! There is ALWAYS some sort of a convention going on and long lines and lots of lobby noise/activity. Other than that, I would... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
