The location of this hotel is excellent, as are the facilities. Excellent pool for lap swimming, which is never too crowded and rarely filled w/ small kids. We unfortunately were in Chicago on an extremely busy weekend, Lollapallooza was there, a dental convenient etc., so hotels were all filled. So, we weren't able to get an upgraded room (larger, w/... This is not a budget hotel, but it does provide the first class service I have become used to from Park Hyatt. If you're on a tight budget, keep looking. However, from arrival to departure the service was outstanding. Friendly doorman, prompt service , well designed and comfortable rooms. My wife and I were impressed and we don't impress easy.... This is a top-notch hotel with top-notch staff and location. For Gold level elites, however, there does not seem to be much extra: no elite lounge, no complimentary breakfast (or discount), no newspaper (it was Saturday/Sunday), no anything extra (except, maybe, 2 small bottles of water an 1 PM check-out). It allows pets, which is OK if they warned us... More

Took my wife to Chicago for her 40th birthday. The hotel was outstanding. The staff catered to our every need and went above and beyond to make her birthday special. We will definitely be staying here every time we come back to Chicago.

Location of this hotel was ideal. Close to shopping on Michigan avenue, all types of restaurants and nightlife. Hotel was beautiful. Beds were extremely comfortable. The view was amazing. Check in was easy and the lobby was newly remodeled.

Love the location and service of this fine hotel. Luxury in the middle of everything! NoMi's was great as always. We celebrated our anniversary here as we had our reception dinner at NoMi's in 2012 Front desk and bell staff were wonderful and helpful.

Great hotel. Very centrally located. The staff is very friendly and professional. Rooms are modem and well kept. We like that the hotel is near shopping and Rush Street. If you want to see Chicago this the place to stay. All the rooms have refrigerators although they are filled with drinks.

I've stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy the property and elite staff. The 7 floor has all my favorites! Great spa, pool, gym and NoMi restaurant and bar. The sushi makes a tasty snack or meal. The outdoor deck is the place to drink when the weather is fair. My only dislike is the noisy late night... More

On arrival we were given a room on the 3rd floor which was horrible for Park hyatt standard. The huge window of the room was disgusting you couldn't see through, something was wrong in the bathroom so we had a motor noise the whole night., plus the street noise. But when we went to complain next morning the front desk... More

Th feel of this restaurant that's perched overlooking the Water Tower and Michigan Ave is breathtaking. Sit in the lounge until you can get a window seat for dinner, but the hipe and poor service leaves much to be desired. The hotel has been awesome in the 14 months or so since I have made this my first choice of... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
