Dear Yogendra R, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, but I think you've mistaken us for another Red Roof Inn. We are located in downtown Chicago and unfortunately do not have a parking lot. Sincerely, More

Let me get the bad out of the way: *Wifi (by HP) was pretty unusable. But this was expected based on other reviews. *Daily housekeeping- inconsistent on stocking items (tissues) *Room condition- baseboard on door peeling off. Looks like dried poop around the base of the toilet. *Shower was either hot or room temperature. So with all of those things... More

Everything is about people. The hotel is wonderfully located in the middle of downtown action. You get what you paid in terms of the room and facilities. It worth it because you are paying location more than anything else. This is a cheap option compared with everything around. What is the problem here? People. I was welcomed by a lady... More

Dear DavidViajes, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry that we were less than gracious when you arrived, and for the conflicting information about your crib request. Your feedback is appreciated and we look forward to serving you again when you return to Chicago. Until then, safe travels. More

The Red Roof Inn Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel was located in the Near North area and smaked in the middle of the Magnificient Mile shopping belt. It was a 5-minute walk from the Grand red line CTA subway station. Plenty of retail shops and eateries in the vincinty of the Hotel. In particular, the Water Tower Place mall comprising... More

Dear Actuarial_Math, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and including your very useful information about nearby shopping and restaurant options. I'm sorry the Wi-Fi was down during your stay and that the desk agent was not more helpful with this situation. For the future, we do offer larger rooms with a desk - our Superior King... More

Yes the hotel needs some work but it's not that bad. The rooms are not super clean but they aren't super dirty either. Being walking distance to everything makes its worth the stay for me. The front desk allowed us to store our luggage before our check in time. I would probly stay here again.

I just left this place. This was my second time going to Chicago in the last 3 months. Yes the place is old and needs a little bit of work. It's not as bad as some of these reviews make it out to be. My rooms were never dirty. The beds are very comfortable. TV is updated. The staff is... More

Just stayed one night with our Girl Scout troop this past weekend. The pricing was different at checkin vs the online price. They charged an extra $50 for a small fridge and microwave in 2 of our 4 rooms and we had no clue until we checked in. This is a very old hotel close to many things downtown which... More

Rooms outdated and not very clean. Housekeeping trash was left in hallway all weekend. Elevators extremely slow. Front desk staff was friendly but not overly accommodating. Location was good for walking to Rainforest Cafe and American Girl Doll store.

I had booked this room, because of the price. After reading all of the negative comments, not going to lie was very nervous. BUT after getting there and looking at everything in the room, it was not as bad as everyone made it seem. I had a great time, and will stay there again. Its in a great location, its an... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
