We chose this hotel based on a wedding rate. I thought the check-in process could've gone a little bit faster than it did, but nothing major. I'm not sure what was going on with the front desk as a few people around me seemed to have complaints of mess-ups that were made. We requested two doubles but settled for a... More

Booked this hotel for its proximity to the Marriott. We were meeting family who were staying there, and being almost across the street from each other was very convenient. Availability was limited, but we found ourselves a deluxe king room in the historic tower. We had a corner room with a great view of the Tribune tower, and out of... More

I was upgraded to a room in the historic tower of the hotel. My room was on the 28th floor and offered views of Lake Michigan, Trump Tower and the architecture along Chicago's Magnificent Mile. The king bed was comfy with lots of pillows. The TV got a wide variety of channels and on demand movies. The bath was a... More

The InterContinental is a nice hotel. Our group was there traveling on business. It is a busy hotel and everyone we met was friendly. I had a vehicle an Valet was fine, although it was $65/night. We got in early, so checked bags, which was painless, although it took 30 minutes to get our bags when we came back. There... More

The Intercontinental is a great hotel right on Michigan Avenue. You have access to the "L" just a couple of blocks away, Navy Pier a few blocks away and shopping!! Everyone who worked at the Hotel were so kind and helpful. Can't wait to stay again.

We are in Chicago for a friend's wedding which was held at the hotel so we stayed here. The hotel is very centrally located in the downtown area - lots of great walking, shopping and restaurants are available. Check-In was a little chaotic but after that everything has been great. Our room while small is very nice (especially loved the... More

I found this to be a lovely hotel. We were on the 14th floor of the historic tower and despite reading reviews of tiny rooms, I found ours to be of a larger size than other hotels I had stayed in in other large cities. I did wish that the beds would have been queen-sized instead of double. We got... More

Me and my guest stayed at the Intercontinental Chicago on July 17th-July 20th. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped us unload our bags from the taxi. We arrived around 9:00 AM and check-in wasn't until 3, however they assured us that they would have a room available for us no later than 12.... More

A friend and I went to Chicago for fun and stayed here. We are 21, so we were expecting to receive less-than-their-best service. Our room was in the newer tower, high up, where the rooms are smaller. We were expecting to have a "view" of another building or a brick wall or something, but actually we could look around and... More
