I stayed at the Hyatt regency (east tower) for a "staycation," the location is decent and within walking distance to the major shopping but it is not in the center of things. The staff is courteous and polite, (aside for once I ordered towels and it took nearly an hour till they brought them). The room is slightly smaller than... More

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The doorman at West tower stepped out in traffic ahead of me to assure my safe passage across the street! The concierge recommended a great boat tour! The steakhouse restaurant was tasty, but very expensive, although our server was pretty cool when we did not order the $35 steaks. As for the... More

Within walking distance to so much in downtown Chicago. Lots of tourist activities (museums, parks, river/lake cruises) in the area as well as great food & tons of shopping (magnificent mile, 2 Macy's department stores within walking distance, Marshall's, Nordstrom Rack if you like designer discount stores). Great view with the river running right through the area. Many famous landmark... More

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and without a doubt, will stay here again! I attend an annual event that is held in attached Convention Center and it is a no brainer to stay in the hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly. The hotel is large but easy to navigate now that the renovations have... More

I was incredibly surprised how nice the hotel was. I went with my 10 yr old son. As you walk in,my our get the feel that everything has been technologically updated. There seems to be at least 100 tv's in the 2 floor lobby. The bar is happening. Breakfast is the typical omelette buffet in a huge atrium. Rooms were... More

You wouldn't stay here unless like me, and thousands of others, your meeting is held in the cavernous underground meeting rooms of this 2000+ room complex. The rooms are small, with poorly placed light switches, electrical outlets, toilet roll holders, drab furniture, even in the slightly newer West Tower, poorly draining sinks, slow wifi, lack of counter space... but it's... This hotel is near all of the favorite land marks in Chicago. The security was tight and the staff was very friendly. The general location is very expensive; the hotel parking was $59 a night. Everywhere in the area, the parking was $14.95 for the first 3-hours and who knows what the end cost may be. Chicago was very windy... More

We stayed at this large convention hotel for a business function. It wouldn't have been my choice, but it was the location of our conference. I'll start with the good--this hotel is very proud of its staff, and rightfully so--they really tried to be helpful and accommodating. They are why I give this hotel an average rating. It otherwise would... More

Well located near the river and the Navy Pier. Shame the check in staff are rude and the Wifi didn't work. It took me 35 minutes before I could connect to the wifi. They do have a great bar though, so I would stay here again
