I stay at the Hyatt on Wacker once a year for almost a week (Higher Learning Commission Conference), and it is a great place. Last year I yelled at them because the bar was cold as the dickens, but that is the only gripe I ever had (except I wish it cost less. but what the hey...) Sunil is the... More

I stayed at the Hyatt for a business meeting. The location is great - a short walk to the shops and restaurants on Michigan Ave., and not far from Grant Park and the lakefront. There is a fantastic little deli/grocer less than a block south, and all kinds of other restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, nearby. There is... More

Planned a last minute impromptu Chicago weekend. Found excellent rates and then arrived to 5 star treatment. Room, restaurants and staff absolutely perfect. Some construction happening at the normal entrance but substitute entrance and valet area nicely handled.

Really disappointed with our stay at the Hyatt. Generally a nice hotel to stay at for a night downtown, but definitely not this time. The rate was really low, but the Hyatt site didn't alert us as to why until we had booked the non-refundable rate. When our confirm email came it informed us of construction at the hotel. Great.... I am a true Hyatt fan however I was not impressed with this property. For one, this location did not have a pool or any true recreation to offer. For a hotel that hosts so many people for business, it lacked restaurants, eateries and other helpful amenities to conference goers.

Stayed here recently to attend work meetings. When I first entered the room, I found a dirty sock on the floor next to the chair. YUCK! Makes we wonder when the room was vacuumed since the sock would have hard to miss when vacuuming. When I went to bed, I found a quarter-sized black stain on the bottom sheet. The... More

Traveling on business, so I appreciated the comfort of this hotel. Check in easy no waiting and front desk staff was welcoming and helpful, business center easily accessible and FREE WiFi. Room 2471 had a great view, was extremely clean, quiet, and beds were comfortable with fresh smelling linens & towels. Every meal we had at the American Craft Kitchen... More

I love Hyatt. I want to start out with that. But this Hyatt seems to be too big for it's own good. We got stuck waiting for an elevator to get down from the 20+ floor for over 15 minutes (literally had service elevators waiting to take us downstairs since we couldn't get one to stop at our floor). We... More

This hotel has seen a better day. The rooms are ok and the beds are comfortable but the rooms are simply tired and when you are in the lobby you feel as if you are in a packed major airport trying to get from one gate to another. The place is really worn down and as a diamond member I... More

This place is huge! Everything was really nice - the service, rooms, etc. It is in a great location - we could walk to lots of places. Only complaint, and I'll use that lightly, was the elevators. The week I was there they were working on several of the elevators so the service was quite slow. This was really problematic... More
