This place was great! We arrived early and were allowed check in right away. For the price we received for this hotel it was well worth it! It's in a great location, just make sure you are careful when trying to figure out how to enter to park. Parking is expensive, but it's downtown Chicago so everywhere will be that... More

My experience was excellent! It started off with booking my reservations my reservationist was fantastic very friendly, patient, professional, and had a great personality. I explained to Christine that we were celebrating my friend's 50th birthday as well as her husband's Cancer free news after 6 months of grueling treatments. I asked if they could upgrade their room which they... More

Its a pretty good place. A little tired in fittings and furnishings, but an easy walking distance to key downtown locations (its on East Wacker). I'd stay here again, but wouldn't pay premium prices. Not sure its a vacation place. My room was pretty noisy, requiring me to use earplugs, but that is possibly because I was put beside a... More

The hotel photos on the Hyatt website tell an accurate story. Modern appointments, great views and great location. I would recommend this over something in an even more touristy area like the Magnificent mile. Brunch at restaurant was very good, and did a great job at accommodating our family's food allergies. A bit tricky to find if you're not familiar... More

I was looking for a good hotel with a parking package and the Hyatt fit the bill. Hotel rates in January in Chicago are very attractive, but the $50-$60 a night parking is outrageous. It was necessary to go to most hotel web sites to find these packages, and surprisingly many offered no room and parking packages at all, which... More

This Hyatt has fantastic food options (room service and restaurants) as well as a 24-hour convenience store with plenty of healthy items to choose from. The gym is one of the best I've seen. It has lots of cardio equipment, free weights, a spread of circuit machines and chilled towels to help you cool down after you're done working out.... More

Hyatt Regency has the good location - but the check in area is very poor for International traveler. I am not sure what the concept of serving here but I did not have any bellboy to help with my 2 big luggage and also I have to go up to the second floor for the check in process. That is... More

Stayed for 7 nights. Rooms well equipped. Food in restaurant excellent. Located a short walk from Michigan avenue. Great location. Very close to millennium park. 2 outside skating rinks within 10 min walk. Great selection of bars & restaurants 10 min walk. The loop & streeterville short walk from the hotel.

We went for my bachelorette weekend. There were 8 of us and we had 4 rooms, one was a junior suite. The views were awesome and we had access to the Regency Room which was great. This hotel is in a good location. The lobby was a good meeting place and we closed down the bar one night.

I love this hotel, staff was very nice and quick service! Close to everything in Chicago, sushi bar is amazing. Very clean rooms and room service responds very quick. Only thing I didn't enjoy is the room gets frosted in the winter and the carpet gets wet.

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
