We arrived late and you didn't have the accessible room we were promised. The next day you more than made u for it by refunding the cost of our night's stay and finding us an accessible room in another hotel for a comparable price. Although I am aware that you were covering your own liability issues, this was done so... More

I was in double room with my husband and it was like a prison cell. View was concrete walls, complained and got changed. Was depressing at first. Location was good to where we were going.

Pros: Great location on the south loop, one block off Michigan Ave. Very comfortable bed! Arrived early and they stored our luggage! Cons: I feel like they put lipstick on a pig. The lobby was completely renovated, all shiny and modern. Unfortunately when you get off the elevator it is a different story. The carpet is old and worn and... More

I know the rooms have not been fully redecorated for quite a while, I thought the "drapes" would have been much better. The material was ugly dark blue that did not match the warm colors on the beds and the carpet and walls. It really darkened the room. There was no white lining on the window side, which is normally... More

A good spot, not far from the lake and downtown. The hotel is old, but quite clean and everything worked. It was also cheap. To be fair the only thing I could fault about the place was the front desk staff. They were not remotely friendly, something I thought was mainly found in London Hotels. Apart from this though, I... Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
