For the price of the room I expected a nicer look. There were pipes showing, heater was running, low water pressure and little hot water.

This hotel is very old and in desperate need of updating. There were watermarks on the door of room where there was obviously flooding or something of that nature. The only way to describe this hotel is dark and dingy.

We stayed here for 4 days as my family and I were attending a family member's graduation. The location is perfect as there is a Subway and Dunkin Donuts right across the street. The subway station is just within a kilometer walk, less than 5minutes. The room was very clean and toiletries were replenished everyday. The beds were very comfortable... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Elevators malfunctioned or ran slow every day. Our room faced the train tracks and the windows were not thick enough to keep out any sound. The bathroom was outdated and gross. Bed linens felt dingy. Carpet in room was old-I kept flip flops on the whole time. The neighborhood felt unsafe, lots of aggressive... More

The staff is great at this hotel - they go out of their way to be helpful. From the front desk to the cleaning crew - this is the third time I've stayed there and they've been consistently so. The hotel is located right across from the park - walking distance to many theaters, other hotels, shops. The hotel needs... More

The property is old and run down. While the beds are very comfortable, it could use a good face lift. The one redeeming factor is the front desk and bell staff. The hot water had to be run for 10+ minutes to get hot, and I had to change rooms to get adequate WiFi bars. Location is convenient to Grant... More

It is not a bad place when you are travelling on a small budget or just transiting through downtown Chicago, Staff is really helpful and welcoming. Downstairs' has a nice thai restaurant that opens upto 10 pm or so and comes very handy. Rooms are basic but OK for short stays. You won't mind the ease of strolling into downtown... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
