I stayed 4 nights just because of the beds that were very comfortable, the size of the room and its location. But all the rest was terrible. No minibar, dirty windows, dirty air-conditioner, old carpet, no water pressure for shower at all, and a really really bad internet in the room. But the staff was nice, tried to help.

Good hotel. But needs to improve their wireless connection. Especially for business travellers.

The inside of the rooms was decent enough, but be warned that if you are on an upper floor you will have to leave extra time. While they have three elevators only one was operational when I attended, meaning that waits were extremely long. In addition, the free Internet is extremely slow. You won't be able to stream netflix or... More

Hotel lobby was spacious and updated; staff greeted me professionally and warmly, were very helpful. Sleeping rooms and hallways were clean but haven't been updated in quite a while so give the appearance of being a shabby place. The amenities are minimal (free wifi service but no included breakfast, no hair dryers) in keeping with the lower-budget cost so keep... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
