As a student on a budget, I have no problem with old and shabby. This went far, far beyond into a total dump. There were strange bleach stains on the floors and furniture. Out of the 5 metal rods in the wind unit (that direct air flow), 2 were missing and one was broken. The curtains had brown stains and... More

We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, enjoyable. The location was perfect for us. I would recommend it to anyone. Plan on staying there everytime I go to Chicago. Close to a lot of interesting places. Parking is right across the street.

I stayed here last night with my fiancée and when we got here the guy behind the desk was rude. We finally checked in and got up to our room and the windows are nasty. But everything else was okay. The only other complaint I have is the pillows need to be bigger or they should provide more.

The location is why I picked it. It is centrally located. Little disappointed I had to ask for things that I thought would be standard. Upgraded lobby looked great, once upstairs a little outdated. Only 1 working elevator for 12 floors?

In addition, the room was surprisingly spacious with a king size bed, couch/futon, desk, and coffee/refrigerator area. However, the refrigerator was not stocked, beds were not comfortable, and free WiFi was extremely slow (used my data most... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
