Went out of their way to make our stay great. Got a text message indicating our room was ready 1 hour before we requested! We needed and early check in on a busy weekend and they made it happen with a superior room with great view of lake. We really like the large rooms and high ceilings. Location great for... More

This is an excellent property close to the waterfront, major parks and restaurants. The restaurant and staff were prompt and relentless in fulfilling any request for service. If you have business downtown and have your family with you who needs to fill your business days, this is an excellent choice.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Blackstone this weekend and I must say I was totally blown away. From the minute we pulled up and the valet took our car I knew I made the right choice. The welcome continued as we entered the lobby. The staff were extremely efficient and courteous. The check in process was fast... More

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel. Many of the guests attending our friends' wedding were staying here and we were assured that this was a lovely hotel. Although there were some positives about this hotel, I think your money could be better spent at a different location. I will start with the pros. The actual physical... More

Historic hotel near the park. Booked a lake view suite. Great decor and awesome views of the park, lake, and Chicago skyline. Although the area immediately around the hotel is not particularly great, it is at walking distance of many attractions.

Everything has only one opportunity to make a first impression; and, to this review's mind, the name "Blackstone" didn't lend itself to a favorable first impression. Images of cold, callousness, and dreariness came to mind when I first heard the name. Of course, the proof is "in the pudding." And, in this case, the proof was in the excellent service... More

I was so fortunate to book this hotel blindly on a site like hotwire, and I will return for future trips. From the lobby to the bathrooms, the hotel was gorgeous and comfortable. The original artwork was especially delightful, the beds and bedding were amazing, and the service was impeccable. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go from the... More

The Blackstone is a great location for a weekend trip to Chicago. We had a connected king room with our double queen room. The rooms had been upgraded with contemporary bathrooms and furnishings and yet still maintained a classic feel. Our queen room was very spacious. The only drawback to our rooms was that our view was to an alley... More

The rooms were spotlessly clean. The mirrors and stainless steel did not have a single fingerprint on them when we arrived. The beds were made and the carpet was vacuumed each day. The towels were arranged nicely every day. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The "navigator," the concierge, was very knowledgeable about the downtown Chicago area and helped... I just stayed at the Blackstone for 4 nights. My first time in Chicago and I had no idea about the place prior to booking. When you walk in you immediately get a sense of the history of the building, the old world style lobby is stunning with the woodwork and metal railings. The place is very clean all around... More
