Be aware of the 120 dollar cleaning fee regardless of your length of stay. Sites will recommend them a 'good' deal or 'best' value but after adding these costs they could proof to cost you more than a 4star hotel downtown. Especially if you are a single traveller staying for a short period.

SP is close to the financial district and closer to the Millenium Park. The place is really amazing, great architecture, big suites. The only issue is the receptionist, who is rude. I have read reviews about her, it is still an issue. Besides her, the best choice in Chicago.

Hello, just left our stay at SP. I understand it's under "new" management, however the air conditioning is clearly still a problem. There was no way of cooling the place under 80 degrees, thus making for a very warm uncomfortable stay. It has clearly been an issue in the past, and still continues to be one. Upon contacting management, I... More

These apartments aren't anything fancy and there are little amenities. But for what I was looking for on this last trip to Chicago it was just what I needed. I was traveling with a party of 4. To get 2 hotel rooms in downtown would have been pretty expensive. So we did a 2 bedroom apartment at SP Suites instead.... More

We had a nice stay at 55 E Washington Street with SP Suites. The location is great. Minutes away from Millenium park, train/bus stations and walgreens/target/tj max and tons of restaurants too. We stayed at 21st floor with 2 bedroom. Night noise is minimum. Can't really hear train passing by. Both beds are comfortable. Since we have 5 people in... More

This is NOT a hotel and thus they do not provide daily cleaning services. Still, it is a very nice apartment right in the center of the city, walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and the L train, which is very convenient.

I had this placed booked for Friday, July 3rd. It had been booked 3 months in advance. I communicated with the staff several times in the week leading up to my stay just to make sure all details were covered and to let them know we would need a late check-in. Since our group would need a late check-in after... More

It's a very good location, close to everything that you would want to see in chicago. I stayed in a one bedroom unit on the 18th floor. Nice clean unit, good view of the city. I saw some bad reviews but as far as i am concerned there were no problems during my stay. Checking in was smooth, nice staff.... More

This is my first time booking this hotel. After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous but I'm glad to say that I was wrong to be worried. The studio is clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen is well-equipped. The TV, the internet and the A/C are all working. I'm checking out tomorrow and will definitely come back. The... More

I am renting a studio for a short term stay, the room is small ... about 300-400 sq ft. but the price is fair for what I am getting. I read some of the reviews on trip adviser and I almost decided to cancel this booking seeing the negative reviews! The place is not as bad as described by others.... More

Staying in Downtown / The Loop

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
