On a recent visit to Chicago I stayed in the single room, the Walnut, in the house across the street. Located at the top of a narrow stairway, the room with private bath was lovely, quiet, and comfortable. There was an adjoining full kitchen, dining room and a small sitting area PLUS an outside sitting porch available - to be... More

We loved staying at the House of Two Urns. We had a small but very well equipped, quiet and comfortable room, with private bath, over the road from the main house. There was a lounge and kitchenette where we could make and drink tea after walking for hours around the city. The breakfasts were divine, the neighbourhood offered us loads... More

My husband and I stayed at Two Urns as it was close to the church where we attended a funeral early the next morning. The circumstances of our visit were not pleasant, however we took comfort in staying in such a beautiful place with all the comforts of home. The bed and breakfast showcases many antiques and lovely artwork. The... More

I'm a former Chicagoan who was in town for one night to attend a friend's wedding in West Town. House of Two Urns was just around the corner from the venue, so I figured - why not try a B&B? I am *so* glad I did. Even though the city is practically riddled with my family and friends, I plan... More

That was the best lodging experience I have ever had. The house was unique, charming and unforgettable, filled with extraordinary artwork and antiques. I couldn't stop taking pictures :) It was impeccably clean and comfortable, with not one overlooked necessity. The location is great, very convenient, and the neighborhood is safe and very pretty. The breakfast was a work of... More

My husband and I stayed here for my son's birthday weekend and although we never made it down for breakfast(stayed out too late), we loved the experience. We had the entire second floor to ourselves and we used the fully stocked kitchen in the morning for coffee and tea. The room was very small (cat room)but had all the ammenities... More

I came to Two Urns as part of their Writer's Retreat program for one week in February. My rooms were palatial (Jacuzzi!) and my experience wonderful. The neighborhood was very convenient, even if it was freezing cold in early February. As part of the retreat, Kapra and Miguel held a first-night dinner that allowed us to get to know each... More

Loved the place. Stayed with Family for a wedding. Owner thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The garden and outdoor space was very enjoyable. Very safe and convenient location to all destinations in Chicagoland. We will be back.

My husband and I have stayed in many B & B's, and The House of Two Urns in by far the best! Kapra makes tasty breakfasts which are served in a charming room in the main building. The art work and photography throughout the buildings are interesting and help to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The guest rooms are... More
