We spent twelve nights in August in Gold Coast Guest House. We loved the location (short walk to Mag Mile, Beach, restaurants etc). The house is beautiful and very confortable. Service is fantastic, specially the staff that works for the owner, they were very attentive and helpful to provide directions, to help with reservations etc. The room was very spacious,... more

Sally's B&B is a wonderful place to stay in Chicago. It is a very nice house and is very conveniently located, a short walk away from Magnificent Mile. The quiet street and the garden contribute to a very peaceful atmosphere. Of course there are not the same amenities as in a hotel (for instance there is no elevator), but this... more

A cozy and most welcoming place to spend 10 days at. Sally and the girls made us feel at home and provided us with most useful advice. The spiral staircase takes a bit of getting used to, particularly when heaving a heavy suitcase up to your room, but it's a minor nuisance, really. Everything was kept spick and span, breakfast... more

My husband and I just returned from spending a week at the Gold Coast Guest House B&B. Our visit was perfect. Sally and her staff made us feel as though we were family or dear friends. Sally provided us with umbrellas for some unexpected rain and light-weight folding chairs to bring to outdoor concerts. Her recommednations about getting on and... more

We've stayed at Gold Coast several times. It's a great location, just a few blocks off Rush Street, and a charming, renovated historic Chicago house. It has a lovely small courtyard. The rooms are nicely done and bathrooms have organic products which we appreciate. The quirks? The tight spiral staircase is a pain to get even small suitcases up and... more

Had fantastic stay in one of the most accommodating B&Bs I've ever been to. Place was extremely clean and comfortable. Gave a magnificent first hand impression of Chicago Townhouse life. Property manager, Sally, was incredibly welcoming and friendly and let me use the house as a base for my full 2-day research trip, even though I only slept there and... more

After a long trip to Europe for business, it was a pleasure to stay at the B&B. It's elegant and friendly, and is within walking distance of Michigan Avenue. I have stayed at the B&B in the past and always loved the location, but now it has a brand new kitchen that simply makes this the best B&B in Chicago.... more

Even the cold of Chicago in winter could not dampen the warm hospitality and cozy surroundings at the Gold Coast Guest House. Innkeeper Sally has exceptional suggestions for restaurants, sights, and other useful tips. The comfort and amenities of each room and wireless internet made my combination work/leisure trip a total success. I am looking forward to returning soon. more

We stayed at the Gold Coast B&B for five days in November. We found it to be excellent; extremely comfortable, with bedrooms accessed by a lovely spiral staircase. Sally thinks of everything above and beyond people's needs, which was very much appreciated. The shower was was excellent, with constant hot water and the beds were cosy and comfortable. We had... more
