We stayed in the top floor 2 bedroom apartment of the Flemish House during a recent visit to Chicago with our young adult son. The apartment was absolutely beautiful, providing us with space and privacy for what felt like a bargain price. Mike and Tom were an pleasure to work with, providing helpful suggestions upon request. On top of being... More

On this my first visit to Chicago and only my second visit to the USA in 40 years, Flemish House was the perfect place to stay. Sue, my travelling companion and I shared the top floor apartment for 5 days. It was splendid - a large two bedroomed space, beautifully furnished and equipped and situated in the most wonderful part... More

This was my first time staying at this Bed and Breakfast and I was just blown away by how wonderful the experience was!! As soon as I arrived I was greeted at the front stoop by innkeeper Bob and he escorted my to the ground floor studio that was to be my "home" for the next 3 days. Wonderful room!!... More

Our first visit to Chicago, and we won't stay anywhere else! We stayed in the First Floor Rear Studio. It was super quiet at the back of the building (although the Inn is located on a quiet street) over looking a quaint back garden. Breakfast was nothing fancy but more than adequate. After reading other reviews we were forewarned about... More

Flemish House made me a Chicago Convert Wow what a great place! As you have already read from the other positive comments (all are TRUE!) everything about our stay was great, location, amenities, quiet, comfortable (beds, furnishings, space) and hospitality. The room was spacious and the full size table and furnishings made it very homey, the shower had great water... More

A great experience in prime location. We loved the charm and homey feel of the bedroom suite. Flemish House is mere blocks from a well known Lake Michigan beach and convenient to the Red Line of Chicago's Transit System. We walked to the Art Institute of Chicago a couple of times and took the subway back when we were worn... More

Stayed at the Flemish house for a week in June. Very nice place, they offer continental breakfast but we opted out. Good size living area, bathroom and closet. The full kitchen was a bit tight, but it was very helpful warming up leftovers and cooking vegetables. This converted house is in a beautiful area, just a block from a bus... More

Flemish House was an excellent choice for a long week end in Chicago. We were just minutes from Lake Michigan, Lakefront Trail for cycling and running, excellent restaurants, and magnificent mile shopping. A cab or bus can provide access to many interests such as The Art Institute , Millenium Park, Museums, or Lincoln Park. Our unit was on the second... More

We just loved our stay! Mike and Tom were wonderful hosts. Unparalleled location in Chicago! Great restaurant scene just a block away. Great beach 1 block other direction. Recommended if you want to feel like a local.
