Flemish House was an excellent choice for a long week end in Chicago. We were just minutes from Lake Michigan, Lakefront Trail for cycling and running, excellent restaurants, and magnificent mile shopping. A cab or bus can provide access to many interests such as The Art Institute , Millenium Park, Museums, or Lincoln Park. Our unit was on the second... More

We just loved our stay! Mike and Tom were wonderful hosts. Unparalleled location in Chicago! Great restaurant scene just a block away. Great beach 1 block other direction. Recommended if you want to feel like a local.

A fantastic place to stay in Chicago just off the magnificent mile. Amazing rooms with a real sense of place rather than just another hotel. The "owners apartment" is a great option if travelling with up to 4 friends. Its the perfect base also to introduce new people to the city.

We enjoyed our stay at the Flemish House, and felt right at home. Having our breakfast (muffins, raisin bread, yogurt, cereal, orange juice, milk, bananas) stocked in the fridge daily was wonderful. Our room was clean and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The house has character, and the woodwork is amazing. Mike was available if needed, but gave... More

Comfortable, great area, walking distance or short cab ride to many things. Great hospitality and the room was lovely. Would recommend this as part of one's experience and not stay in a hotel. We were greeted with friendly hosts and the communication before arrival very helpful.

We will be back for another stay next time we visit Chicago! What a treat! This place far exceeded our expectations! Loved having a place to stay so close to everything in the city! We loved having our own kitchen and living area! Only a few blocks from public transit! Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

I love this place!!!! Great location!!! Great host!!!! Mike was fantastic. He was very accommodating yet did not get in my face at all. The location is super - within walking distance of the subway, buses, grocery store, Walgreens and CVS. There are also plenty of places to eat that are close by. I loved my room. It was in... More

My husband and I stayed at the Flemish House for five nights in early April. We were very pleased with our experience there. First, the neighborhood is perfect in every respect: proximity to downtown( an easy walk); good restaurants closeby (our favorites: Bistrot Zinc and the Third Coast); just a great neighborhood for strolling around and appreciating the beautiful old... Just home from a 3 night stay at the Flemish House. A wonderfully charming old home in the Gold Coast an upscale neighbourhood close to all the great things Chicago has to offer. Each 'apartment' is self contained with its own kitchen. Each day your fridge is filled with fresh juice, muffins, fruit, yogurt and coffee and teas. A cozy... More

This beautiful historic home is a great place to stay instead of a hotel. The location can't be beat-steps to the lake, fabulous restaurants and Michigan Avenue shopping. The neighborhood is beautiful and our hosts were so nice. All the units had their own kitchens and light breakfast supplies were provided. We seldom stay at the same place more than... More
