So I couldn't find a hotel and stumbled upon the RubyRoom. I stayed three nights and it cost me $650.00 not even a cup of coffee in sight. The room was basic no TV no closet nothing to set luggage on. They said it would be quiet yet we heard screaming at night when the bars were done. All in... More

Our daughter who lives in Chicago thought we'd enjoy staying at this boutique hotel in Wicker Park. We did really enjoy the area, but the hotel, not so much. First, the stairs. Staying on the top floor meant we were away from the noisy street, but this was the steepest, narrowest staircase we've ever seen in a hotel. And of... More

It takes a special kind of person to stay at this hotel, so if you like paying $200.00 per night for a room with a bed, radio, shower and a bar to hang your cloths up then this would be the hotel for you. The cleaning staff will not come into your room to refresh your towels unless you specifically... More

I stayed a night at this fabulous little gem found smack down in the Wicker Park area! Within walking distance to tons of local shops, boutiques, and restaurants. The room was amazing and quiet and romantic. No TV or phone and just a very peaceful place. The hotel also has a cool store beneath it selling candles and lotions and... More

We stayed here for my sister's wedding. We rented 5 out of the 6 rooms and it was a lot of fun being able to stay is such a cute inn all together. The inn is location in a great area, walking distance to lots of good restaurants and bars. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The only negative... More

If you are looking to stay in a authentic Chicago neighborhood void of corporate assets/chains, full of energy, diverse dining options, accessible transportation options, in a building of human scale, etc. this is a perfect stay. I didn't take advantage of spa services, but I was at peace in my entire stay and felt refreshed for work the next day.... More

My husband and I stayed just one night while visiting our son. The hotel is small maybe 4 rooms per floor. The room itself(3D) was located at the back of the building and it was very quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. Minimal noise except for a loud walker above us on the wooden floors. Parking, however was terrible.... More

Stayed for two nights with a friend. The location of the hotel is great, in the middle of Wicker Park, close to many food and drink options. The room is big, the bed comfy, and the bathroom ok - weak water and temperature pressure. There aren't any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a kitchen... More

I came to Ruby Room not sure exactly what to expect and just knowing that it was highly recommended in the Frommer's guide to Chicago. Upon arrival I found out a very pleasant place, located in an old and apparently landmark building, with great space and ambiance. As important was the concierge team - attentive, helpful, and very welcoming. (Their... More

Clean and comfortable room in Wicker Park away from the hustle and bustle of the Miracle Mile. Nice location if you are visiting in this area. There is a concierge but I never saw her. They don't enter your room during the stay so there is no maid service unless you ask for it. They provide access to a nice... More
