No night staff. Given 1800 number for problems. The room next door screaming, banging against walls, running screaming down the hall ...MJ use. Called 1800 number for after hours. As the people had run screaming from the building... there was nothing they were willing to do....call the police... No on site help. The people that did this came back later... More

My husband and I stayed just one night while visiting our son. The hotel is small maybe 4 rooms per floor. The room itself(3D) was located at the back of the building and it was very quiet. The bed was soft and comfortable. Minimal noise except for a loud walker above us on the wooden floors. Parking, however was terrible.... More

Stayed for two nights with a friend. The location of the hotel is great, in the middle of Wicker Park, close to many food and drink options. The room is big, the bed comfy, and the bathroom ok - weak water and temperature pressure. There aren't any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a kitchen... More

I came to Ruby Room not sure exactly what to expect and just knowing that it was highly recommended in the Frommer's guide to Chicago. Upon arrival I found out a very pleasant place, located in an old and apparently landmark building, with great space and ambiance. As important was the concierge team - attentive, helpful, and very welcoming. (Their... More

Clean and comfortable room in Wicker Park away from the hustle and bustle of the Miracle Mile. Nice location if you are visiting in this area. There is a concierge but I never saw her. They don't enter your room during the stay so there is no maid service unless you ask for it. They provide access to a nice... More

I wanted to stay in Wicker Park to be walking distance to my son's apartment, as well as numerous shops, restaurants and bars. The location was perfect. It is different than a hotel. You check in at the Spa and they show you to your room. Be warned that you have to climb either 3 or 4 stories to get... More

This wonderful little Inn is a few short blocks from the Division Station off the Blue Line. It was the perfect size with a great bathroom and very clean. The stairs are a bit rough inside, but the back fire escape ones are much easier to navigate. The neighborhood is awesome with many, many cool shops and restaurants nearby. We... More

If you are looking for a room at a reasonable rate in the Wicker Park area close to the Blue line( 10 mins. to downtown) with lots of good restaurants and tavern options this would be a good choice if you willing to settle for a very basic room. The rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors with no... More

This place is a gem in Wicker Park. No thrills rooms let you live in a wonderful neighborhood where you will find more interesting restaurants and shops than downtown. Best parts: The Mana food bar across the street and the Arcade Emporium just up the street sporting the original Addams Family pinball!
