Thanks to age and intrigued, learning to seek out our country's great turn of the century clubs. And this one's a beauty. A great mixture of history, Americana and superior service. Can't wait to return and try others. Plus there's a one-of-a kind Guy Buffet painting of the main ballroom greets you at the registration desk. We love Guy's work.

Beautiful art collections and woodwork; outstanding service in all regards from the cleanliness of the hotel room to the restaurants and bars. Located within walking distance of Union Station, Willis Tower, Lake Michigan, shopping, and fabulous restaurants. Can't go wrong with... More

My Chicago office is less than 2 blocks away, so the Union Club is easy to get to from O'Hare (blue line to Jackson) and then to my Office. Not only did I stay there on my last trip to my Chicago office, I booked 5 clients to stay there as well. They all reported that the accommodations were wonderful... More

Stayed as wedding guest for convenience after reception. Had, several visits to the Rendevous Room which is a lovely bar with some food options, wonderful breakfast on Sunday. Wedding cocktail hour was held in a magnificent ballroom with fabulous art collection, wedding reception in another stunning ballroom with excellent apps & service. For tourists, turn right out the front door... More

The Union League building is centrally located and a very good choice for business. It has the obvious appearance of a traditional city club type facility with classic appointments that in many regards is from an era past. The rooms are small compared to some of the more typical higher end hotels and the bath - at least in our... More

This place is all about history and quaint public areas. You will find the most amazing health and fitness complex inside with great pool, spa and others. Of course, these are mostly utilized by the local members in the community, but all guests of the hotel are welcome to use. There is a very polite and helpful gentlemen, who will... More

Union League Club, is a beautiful old hotel and club. The Gym and Locker facilities were top notch, we really enjoyed the use of these facilities. Although the ladies hot tub and cold tub were out of order when we were there, the other amenities were great.I wish we had more time just to use these areas, but we only... More

This history and fascinating architecture of the Union League Club was impressive. Nice clubhouse and ballroom. Great library and art collection. Great location. The actual guest rooms however were sorely disappointing. Rusty fixtures, broken mirrors, broken soap-dishes, exposed pipes and faulty room fixtures are items I would expect from a low-end no-tell motel, not an establishment that purports to be... More

Yes, the ULC has standards: excellent service, good food, and great prices for rooms and meals. In exchange, they ask that people dress and act like ladies and gentlemen. If that's a stretch for you, you won't enjoy the ULC of Chicago. If, on the other hand, you are constantly dismayed by the vulgarians you see in most hotels, the... More

Very convenient to all Loop business meetings and the club is great for being able to stay, eat and work in a safe and quiet environment. I found the rooms to be of average size and quality.
